Character history: (doctor) My life started as any other, I was born in to a good family and I demanded the respect of my colleagues and family alike. But like many other lives, it took a turn for the worst. At the age of 15 I attended the local school for medicine as I had a sharp mind and wit which helped convince me and my family that I could help others, for a price of course. At the time, it was quite prestigious to have a doctor in the family and my brother was not the clever kind. At the age of 18 I had graduated within the top 65% of my class and was sold off to an apprenticeship to a local research firm near the edge of the city. My mentor was assigned the job of finding all effective uses of leaches and the side effects of their use. To me, this was the turning point of my life and career. The use of leeches and of bloodletting in particular were astronomical to my mind. Bloodletting was a cure and a half as it replaced the infected blood and induced more blood flow increasing the speed or recovery (there was very bad science back then). I stayed with my mentor for three more years before graduating to a full-fledged doctor. After my graduation, I joined up with a group called the “letters”, a group of researchers who shared my ideals about bloodletting. I opened my own firm near the center of the city specializing in diseases and scrapes. I became a prestigious doctor in a thriving city. Some years later the dangers of bloodletting were discovered or more accurately, the dangers of excessive bloodletting. Loss of consciousness, shaking and excessive sweating were among the symptoms. I of course was already privy to this information from my extensive research in to the subject. I took to experimenting on my patients, In small ways at first, a leach here, a bleeding there. It wasn’t long before I was testing more extreme methods on my patients afterward. I guess it couldn’t have lasted. Within the year I was visited by some men accusing me of my research. I or course confessed as I had little to hide. I believed my work was important and would save many lives, my conscious was clean. After a review of my work, I was dined dangerous and my work was classified as illegal and excessive. I was horrified at their closed mindedness, so a few patients had died? It
