The Wateree program, which is one of the first of its kind in the nation, was announced over the weekend following a meeting of state and Du Pont representatives in the Office of L. W. Bishop, director of the Research, Planning and Development Board. *
At the meeting were Dr. Ruth Patrick, Academy of Natural Sciences, Philadelphia; R. R. Bal- mer of the Du Pont Company, Wilmington, Del; L. M. Jones, manager of the Du Pont plant at Camden; L. B.
