life, has been a controversial topic among scientists and religiouscommunities. Charles Darwin tossed the idea of evolution of species, whichexplains that all species of life have descended from common ancestors, andit occurred by a process called natural selection, in which the struggle forexistence allows organisms to become more adapted the environment.

Hinduism is well known for their use of statues/deities for representation ofplanets & energies. There are numerous stories in Hindu verdict texts oftenwith deep meanings that cannot be understood by ordinary minds and most ofthem have been ignored as their literal meaning do not make any sense.

According to Hindu religion, there are three main deities: Lord Brahma, LordVishnu and Lord Shiva. Brahma is a deity who represents the cosmic functionof creation, while Shiva represents the cosmic function of destruction. Vishnurepresents the cosmic functions of maintaining & preserving===said by

    Charles Darwin

Now , we will see His role in his dasavtaras in correlation to evolution of life .here isthe list of LORDS various incarnations with very precise description of evolution oflife from the very basic principal of a unicellular body ---

1==The first incarnation of Vishnu took place as a fish the Matsya Avatar. Beforethe creation of the present universe the four Vedas - Hindu philosophical texts whichcontain all the AS. It thus indicates, in some manner, the existence of extremely longcycles in the process of creation

and possible early civilizations of which little is known today. In a way, the Matsyaincarnation symbolizes the formation of the earliest of life forms - the protoplasmand invertebrates.

2==Kurma, or the tortoise, was Vishnu's second incarnation. It is believed that duringthe great deluge at the beginning of the current epoch of four Yugas, The KurmaAvatar represents theFormation of the amphibian (Life forms which can survive on both land and water)form in theEvolution of living beings on this planet.

3==The third incarnation was that of Varaha, the Boar. To kill thedemon Hiranyakshayap .

Varaha, the boar sym bol izes the emergence of mammals o n the planet.

4==Vishnu appeared as Narasimha in his fourth Incarnation to kill the tyrantking Hiranyakashipu who had obtained boon from Brahma

.Narasimh a represents the emergence of hands and f ingers in animals -

another step in theevolut ion of the human form from animals.

5==The fifth incarnation, the first in the Treta Yuga, was that of sage Vamana - adwarf, this time to subdue King Bali - the demon king .though Brahamans (vidhvaan) were greatly revered in those days also . so , Lord appeared as dwarfBrahmin and asked for only that much of land he could cover only by 3-steps . Butsoon Bali realised his mistake and surrendered his ego at the lotus feet of Lord and

sought his forgiveness and well he got the boon also.

The dwarf incarnat ion of Vishnu represents the ini t ia l stages of development

    of Man.

6==Parashurama was the sixth incarnation of Vishnu -the first who was fully human.Parashurama was aBrahaman by caste and the son of sage Jamadagni and his wifeRenuka. Vishnu incarnated himself at this time to rid the world of the tyrant andcorrupt kings (kings were always Kshatriya by caste). At that time the Kshatriyaswere indulging in all sorts of sinsand had unleashed terror and autocratic behaviour

    all around.

The Parashurama incarnat ion of Vishnu symbol izes the Stone Age in th e

evolut ion o f hum an civi l izat ion w here the axe symb ol izes the start of the use

    of meta l by mankind.

7==The seventh incarnation of Vishnu was in the form of a king -Lord Rama, themain protagonist in the Hindu epic, Ramayana.Lord Rama is the personification ofrighteousness and human values. He is also revered as Maryada purushottam . Heis worshipped as the perfect man and Hindus have given him the status of a god.

Lord Rama appears not for a single mission but rather to teach mankind theimportance of sticking to the concepts of righteousness, justice, truth and strength ofcharacter. In battle or in peace, Rama never let go of his ideals

Lord Rama represents the t ime in the evolut ion of h uman civi l izat ion w hen

mankin d had begun to l iv e as a cohesive society and have laws of

    administrat ion and just ice.

8==Lord Krishna is the eighth incarnation of Vishnu and the only incarnation of thethird Yuga - the Dwapar Yuga. He was the main protagonist in the Hindu epic,Mahabharata. He too, like

Rama, has been accorded the status of a god in Hindu religion. However, unlikeRama, Krishna is seen as more endearing and reachable -

. It was during this battle of Kurukshetra where Lord Krishna expounded upon thevarious philosophies that guide the values of righteousness, duty and justice andhow all existence is only a tool in God's hands and it is He who defines all that wasdone, is being done and will be ever done. His messages that he preached to Arjuna- one of the Pandava brothers and Krishna's favourite -comprised the BhagwadGita which is one of the most revered texts ofHindu philosophy. It was during thispreaching that Krishna showed Arjuna the Vishwaroop - the representation of thecosmos and its functions through himself. As has been earlier mentioned, Vishnu too

is often depicted in the Vishwaroop form, strengthening the argument that Krishnaand Vishnu are one and the same rather than Krishna being an incarnation ofVishnu.

His death is bel ieved to have marked the beginning of the Kal i Yuga. Krishn a

has been depicted as being a great pol i t ic ian and a master of al l six ty four artsthat existed at the time. Kris hna therefore reflects th e developm ent of the

sciences in the history of evolut ion of hum ans.

9==The ninth Avatar is that of Gautam Buddha the founder of Buddhism. Heappeared in the Kali Yuga. However there is another school of thought that says thatBalarama -foster brother of Krishna was the ninth Avatar of Vishnu.

He then spread the message of the necessity of practicing Ahimsa (non-violence)and detachment from worldly pleasures and desires, for the purpose of inner-peaceand true knowledge. His teachings formed the basis of the Buddhism religion.

At a time when people were losing faith in humanity and religion and sinning wascommonplace as was violence and greed, Buddha brought with him peace and faithfor mankind.

This incarnat ion ref lects the intel lectual and spir i tual pr ogress of hum an

    civi l izat ion.

Whenever righteousness w anes and un righteousness inc reases I send m yself

    forth.

For the protect ion of the good and for the destruct ion of evi l ,

and for the establ ishment of righteousness,

I come into b eing age after age. ( holy Gita )10==The tenth and last incarnation ofVishnu is yet to appear. It is believed that this appearance will take place towards theend of Kali Yuga, named as Kalki on a white horse with a shimmering / flamingsword with which he will strike down all evil and after which the Krita Yuga will againbegin where purity of mind.

Now ,here let us rethink and look at the whole scenario world wide . in east peopleare basically fed up with all the corrupt practices war and unrest . Both rich and poor

are equally restless . No peace of mind . Many people are now taking to prayers andmeditation as a means to peace of mind and growth of the soul .

In west the belief is gaining support that it is an era of INDIGO children who arespiritually evolved souls and are going to change the world for better . Theycollectively will usher a new era where the law of justice will prevail and all would beable to live in peace and harmony.

Now the white horse of dasham avatar of kalaki symbolises purity ; purity ofthought and mind . the dream interpretation of riding a white horse means==spiritual evolution to the higher planes .
