During the weekend of April 10-13, 2015, we will be upgrading our system to make your banking experience easier, faster and more convenient. Whether you bank in person, online, over the phone, or with a mobile device you will benefit from the enhancements of Fairfield Forward - the Fairfield County Bank operating system upgrade.

Fairfield Forward will provide you with enhanced services including:

• Simplified month-end account statements with concise summaries• Improved electronic and online account access • Real-time transactions• Instant card issuing service• And much more.

In December, I wrote to you about the first step in our exciting Fairfield Forward initiative and now we’re reaching out to help you prepare for the new and improved system.

The following guide provides you with important information and dates that you’ll need to make the upgrade seamless. Please take a moment to review the information that applies to your accounts.

Your Contact Information

If you are an Online Banking user, please confirm your contact information (email address, mailing address and phone number) is up-to-date so that we can ensure you receive all upgrade communications timely and efficiently. It will also be used to help you login after the system is upgraded.(See the Online Banking Guide previously distributed for more information.)

Online Banking Security Profile – Pre-Registration

From March 1 through April 1 you are able to pre-register for Online Banking. The purpose of pre-registration is to make your access to your online banking account easy on the day we change over to the upgraded system. (See the Online Banking Guide for more information.)

Online Bill Pay Bill pay will be unavailable from 12:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7 until midday Monday, April 13.All bill pay payments scheduled prior to 4/7/15, will be processed and paid.

Automated Telephone Banking

Our automated Connect24SM Telephone Banking service will be unavailable from 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 10 until midday April 13. Monday, April 13, the new number will be 866-877-2653.A new PIN will be issued. (See page 6-7)

ATMs and Debit/ATM Cards

All ATMs will remain in service. You will be able to make withdrawals at ATMs and purchases with your debit card, but you will not be able to see balance inquiries. (See pages 4-5)

Statements& eStatements

At the end of April, you will receive an enhanced deposit account statement. (See pages 8-9)

Online Banking Password

If you have already pre-registered, midday April 13, you will be able to log-in with the new security profile you set-up. If you did not pre-register, you’ll be required to reset your Password and enter an Access Code the first time you log in to Online Banking. Indicated Access code is a temporary password which the system will provide the requirements for. Your user ID is not changing. (See the Online Banking Guide for further information or visit: http://www.fairfieldcountybank.com/online-bankingupgrade.html)

Transactions Transactions debited from or credited to your account during the period of Friday, April 10 at 5:00 p.m. through Monday, April 13 will be processed immediately and are subject to our Funds Availability Policy. Please visit our website for a copy of the Funds Availability Policy. (See pages 14-15 for more information on transactions.)

Connect24SM

Mobile Banking AppiPhone® users will need to go to the Apple App store to obtain and download the new app. You will need to delete the current mobile app before installing the new one. Check Cards, ATM Cards and ATMs

What’s moving Fairfield Forward? • After the system upgrade, Fairfield County Bank will be introducing an instant card

issuing service, Card@Once®, at all branches. So, if your card is lost, damaged or stolen, we’ll be able to issue a new one right then and there.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Availability During the Upgrade.

Fairfield County Bank ATMs will be operating during the system upgrade. You will be able to make withdrawals at ATMs and purchases with your debit card. However, you will not be able to see balance inquiries from 5:00 p.m. April 10 through midday April 13.

VISA® Check Card (Debit Card)

Your check card will continue working during the upgrade. You will be able to make withdrawals and purchases with no service interruption.

ATM Card Your ATM card will continue working as usual.

You will be able to make withdrawals and deposits at ATMs with no service interruption.

PIN Your PIN will remain the same.

Point-of-Sale (POS)

The POS will only work on the primary account assigned to the card regardless of the number of accounts associated with the card.

Surcharge* Rebates In some of our checking programs, you may be eligible for surcharge rebates. Different from the past, the rebate of the surcharge will occur at the end of the statement cycle instead of at the time the transaction occurred. The surcharge is added to the ATM transaction amount and does not show as a separate item.

*You may be assessed a fee at ATMs other than those owned and operated by Fairfield County Bank for a transaction or balance inquiry even if you don’t complete a fund transfer.

Connect24SM 24-Hour Telephone Banking

What’s moving Fairfield Forward? • After the system is upgraded, customers will be introduced to a new menu with

easier navigation and some additional options on Fairfield County Bank’s 24-hour telephone service.

• Our automated Connect24SM Telephone Banking service provides instant access to your accounts and enables you to conduct banking transactions 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Starting Monday, April 13th the new Connect24 Telephone Banking number will be 866-877-2653 and can be dialed from any touch tone phone.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Availability During the Upgrade.

The Connect24SM telephone banking system will be unavailable from 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 10 through midday Monday, April 13.

PIN Midday Monday, April 13:

Individuals – Your Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) will be reset to the last four digits of your social security number. You will then be prompted to designate a new four digit PIN.

Businesses – Your Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) will be reset to the last 5 digits of the account signer’s social security number. You will then be prompted to designate a new four digit PIN. Each account signer will be required to initiate their own PIN.

Menu Options You’ll notice that the Connect24SM 24-Hour Telephone Banking system menu options have changed and are very easy to follow. Menu options can be found at: http://www.fairfieldcountybank.com/telephone-banking.html.

Transactions You’ll still be able to do all the same banking transactions by simply following the prompts over the phone.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

An interim statement will be produced for all cycles ending on or before Friday, April 10 from our previous provider. The next statement you receive will be your enhanced statement cycled at month-end from our new provider showing transactions on and after April 11. Monthly maintenance fees will be waived both on the interim statement and on your first enhanced statement.

Your next statement and all subsequent statements will be issued at month end.

You will have access to up to 24 months of previous eStatements.

If you’re already signed up to receive eStatements, you will continue to receive them after the system upgrade is complete. You will not need to sign up again.

What’s moving Fairfield Forward? • New enhanced and streamlined deposit

account statements will be issued at month- end starting in April. The statements are easy- to-read with helpful details and summaries.

• Larger print as well as bolded and italicized items for easy reading.

• Simplified account identification and easier navigation.

• Easy check image retrieval.• An account summary will be generated for

quick and easy reference. It will provide balance totals, rates, and transaction details all in one location.

• A highlighted message area will be displayed prominently for important and/or timely information we don’t want you to overlook.

Interest will be paid at month end instead of cycle cut date. Month end is the new cycle cut date.

In some of our checking programs, you may be eligible for surcharge* rebates. Different from the past, the rebate of the surcharge will occur at the end of the statement cycle instead of at the time the transaction occurred.

Statements will be produced at month end instead of various days throughout the month.

Overdraft sweeps or advances will be made in actual transaction amount instead of our previous method of transfer increments of $100.00 to satisfy overdraft advances.

What’s moving Fairfield Forward and what you need to know. • Automated debit transactions on savings account balances which are insufficient

will be posted and show a negative balance. Since negative balances are not an option for savings accounts, an immediate credit will be posted to the account and the item drawn insufficient returned. No service charge will be associated with this type of transaction.

• Interest will be paid at the end of each month. • Statements will be produced monthly for savings and money market account,

quarterly for CDs and semi-annually for IRAs.• The plan number associated with your IRA plan will no longer be your tax payer ID

number; it will be a system generated number printed on your first new statement. If you have need assistance locating it on your statement, please contact us.

What’s moving Fairfield Forward and what you need to know. • All checking statement cycles will be at month end.• Statements will be produced monthly for savings and money market accounts,

quarterly for CDs and semi-annually for IRAs.• Remote deposit will be unavailable from 4:00 p.m. Friday, April 10 through

midday Monday, April 13. • You will be contacted by a Cash Management specialist about how the upgrade will

affect Remote Deposit and to schedule a training session.

What’s moving Fairfield Forward and what you need to know. • Loan numbers will remain the same except for the overdraft line of credit. • A separate mailing regarding overdraft line of credit was previously sent. As a

reminder, your account number will change with the addition of the number four in front of your current account number.

• Interest earned on escrow balances accrued from January 1, 2015 through April 10, 2015 will be credited to your Escrow Account on April 10th. You will see this credit on your next billing statement. We will restart the accrual of interest on your escrow balance beginning April 11, 2015. Interest for the period of April 11, 2015 to December 31, 2015 will be paid at year end.

Availability During the Enhancement

Electronic credits and ATM deposits that you make from the close of business Friday, April 10 through midday Monday, April 13 may not appear immediately.

Transactions Transactions will occur in real time in keeping with banking best practices. This means all transactions will be immediately posted to your account as the Bank receives them. In addition, fees associated with non-sufficient funds will also be debited immediately. For details on funds availability, please see our Funds Availability Policy located on our website .

Direct Deposits Any direct deposits that you have established will remain in place.

Automatic Withdrawals and Pre-authorized Payments

Any automatic withdrawals or pre-authorized payments that you have established will continue to be debited as usual. Please refer to your online banking upgrade document for further details.

The Bank is upgrading its systems to provide you with enhanced features and options to make your banking experience easier, faster, and more convenient.

When will the system upgrade occur?

Most of the changes will be completed during the period from Friday, April 10 at 6:00 p.m. through midday Monday, April 13.

What are the Bank hours during the upgrade?

All branches and our Customer Care Center will be closed on Saturday, April 11, Sunday, April 12, and Monday, April 13.

VISA® Check Card You will be able to make withdrawals at Fairfield County Bank ATMs and at all NYCE and Cirrus ATM networks and make purchases wherever VISA® is accepted.

Will my account number change?
