The brightness of a color. Colors can onle be made LESS intense (by mixing with white or black). A more intense color cannot be achieved by mixing.
Mixing WHITE with a color. Pink is formed by tinting RED.
Mixing BLACK with a color. Navy Blue is made by shading BLUE.
Dulling a color by adding grey or the color’s complement.
