• Everglades National Park has a lot of landforms
• The pine forest is the highest point in the Everglades
• The saw palmetto is a palm that has sharp thorns that can cut you if you are not careful.
• Some landforms in the everglades are marshes, swamps, rocklands, grasslands and wet lands
Culture
• People lived there, explored there, and now visit the Everglades
• The Tequesta and Caulusa Indians were the first settlers in the Everglades.
• The Spanish explorers came looking for gold.
• People now visit Everglades National Park.
Waterways
• Everglades National Park has marshes and rivers.
• Saw grass marshes are possible to walk across even in the wet season
• Florida Bay covers 1/3rd of the everglades.
• Water leaving lake Okeechobee in the wet season.
Rocks and MineralsEverglades National Park has a lot of limestone. The pinelands have a hard rocky ground made of of limestone.Limestone is made up of mud, shells, and sand.Limestone is at the bottom of the Everglades River.
