WELCOME TO HOLKHAM

A magnificent Palladian house at the centreof a 25,000 acre privately owned estate onthe north Norfolk coast, Holkham is theancestral seat of the Earls of Leicester andthe Coke family who have lived here sincethe 1750s.

Holkham is a unique and prestigious venue for corporate events, including directors’ meetings, product launches, awards ceremonies, company parties and team building days.

We have successfully arranged corporate and private events for many companies and organisations including Red Bull, Christies, Break Charity, Scira Offshore Energy, the European Landowners’ Organisation and Barratt and Cooke.

The opportunities are extensive and our highly experienced team will work with you to help organise and manage your event.

WHERE THE SKY MEETS THE SEA

The local coast and countryside has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The beach at Holkham is one of the most unspoilt and beautiful stretches of sand in the country and is recognised as one of the best beaches in the UK.

Holkham National Nature Reserve and beach are very close by and can be included in your plans.

MEET IN THE HALL

The state rooms in the hall offer complete privacy and exclusivity, which is why Holkham is such a perfect venue for off-site strategy and directors’ meetings.

For larger events such as product launches and presentations, the Marble Hall, Statue Gallery and Saloon are ideal.

THE LADY ELIZABETH WING

Adjacent to the hall and within its own private courtyard, The Lady Elizabeth Wing is our dedicated and exclusive events venue.

Designed by Hopkins Architects, this stunning, contemporary space can work flexibly for small or large numbers with the ability to cater for up to 250 dinner guests, 320 conference guests and 400 guests for a drinks party. In addition, the smaller reception space is another option and works well for entertaining up to 60 people.

Suitable for a variety of events including conferences, drinks parties, product launches, dinners and award ceremonies, The Lady Elizabeth Wing can be combined with other venues on the estate.

A JOURNEY TO THE NORFOLK COAST

Holkham is within easy reach of Norwich, King’s Lynn, Cambridge and Peterborough, with good road links to London via the A11 and M11.

Norwich International Airport is only half an hour away by helicopter and you can land in the park close to the hall. As you approach you can enjoy outstanding views of the sweeping coastline and the Holkham Estate.

ENTERTAIN AT HOLKHAM

From a small dinner to a large awards ceremony, Holkham is a stunning venue to host your event.

There are a number of magnificent state rooms available for entertaining. The dramatic Marble Hall, with its breathtaking ceiling inspired by the Pantheon in Rome, rises to a height of over fifty feet. Leading through to the opulent Saloon, it is a stunning backdrop for a large reception with drinks and canapés.

Small formal lunches and dinners are usually served in the South Drawing Room, with delicious, locally sourced food from one of our recommended caterers. The Statue Gallery is a dramatic room for entertaining and contains perhaps the most complete collection of classical statuary in a private house in Britain.

For a contemporary and stylish setting, with the ability to cater for large numbers, The Lady Elizabeth Wing, set within a private courtyard, is a perfect venue to impress your guests.

If you would like something informal and bespoke, then a marquee at the Temple or the walled garden can offer this opportunity. The Temple is tucked away in the woods in Holkham park and is ideal for a smaller event. The eighteenth century, six acre walled garden is undergoing a sensitive restoration to return it to its former glory. There is plenty of space for marquees and entertaining.

We can help arrange a fully-equipped marquee through one of our excellent suppliers, from an English traditional pole tent, to a kata tipi marquee with reindeer skins and fire bowls. The possibilities are endless.

AWAY DAYS AND TEAMBUILDING

We are able to provide a range of specially designed corporate and team building packages. These include a number of innovative as well as more traditional activities, which can be tailored to suit your requirements and are offered over a half or a full day.

Many of our clients like to use the hall for a morning meeting or presentation, followed by an afternoon of activities.

Does Edwardian Masterchef, Crime Scene Investigation, or the Holkham Bodyguard capture the imagination? Or perhaps you might be interested in cycling, clay pigeon shooting, falconry, archery and crossbow, 4x4 off-road driving or dragon boat racing on the lake?

With all the opportunities that Holkham has to offer, we can work with you to create a bespoke experience.

DELICIOUS FOOD

We work with several experienced and professional caterers who have been carefully selected for the quality of their food, competitive pricing and friendly and helpful service.

Our caterers would be delighted to work with you to put together a bespoke menu to complement your event.

STAY CLOSE BY

The estate-owned Victoria Inn is perfectly located on the coast road in Holkham village. Walk into a relaxed and warm welcome from the personable team, with comfortable sofas by roaring fires and an inviting bar.

The Victoria serves delicious, locally sourced food, much of it grown and raised on the Holkham Estate, with a bold emphasis on freshness, simplicity and value.

Utmost comfort as well as style and attention to detail are the hallmarks of the twenty bedrooms. Ten bedrooms are located within The Victoria itself, with a further ten rooms in Ancient House opposite.

Like all hotels in north Norfolk, The Victoria can be very busy in the summer months, so please remember to book rooms well in advance. We are also able to recommend other local accommodation if required.
