Leytonstone loves… …local stories, big and small From a live podcast recording taking in the life and times of Leytonstoner Sir Alfred Hitchcock, to docs on the East End’s early adopters of Grime, to an AR walking tour of local stories, immerse yourself in the borough’s unique history.

…cinematic gems from around the world The weekend offers up a suitably eclectic (free!) selection of homegrown and world cinema - from anime hit Paprika, Spike Lee’s modern cult classic BlacKkKlansman, vintage Agnès Varda, the avant garde archival works of Walthamstow-born John Smith and more.

…venues on their doorstep We’re popping up indoors and out. We’ll transform the green spaces of Leytonstone Community Garden and the grounds of the historic St John’s Leytonstone alongside screens in art deco marvel Leytonstone Library, local gallery The Stone Space and some of the borough’s very best boozers.

…something for everyoneOur screenings take all shapes and sizes – from shared screenings under the stars at our End of the Lane Screen & Studio, to intimate one-on-one experiences like our Cut the Chat: Barbershop Experience, to Women Over Fifty Film Festival’s relaxed screenings, with lights up and coming and going encouraged.

…a car-free Sunday Sunday sees us spilling onto Church Lane with street food, music and markets. Stones Throw and Leyton&Stone Designers will bring together local designers and makers, whilst the Luna Lounge curate a line-up of sounds from across the world to soundtrack the day.
