the process of constructing this

From constructing my media product I have learnt from several new media technologies, firstly I have used the green room and all the specialised lighting to take my front cover image, I used this to make sure my image wasn’t unclear, it didn’t have a yellow ting and that is wasn’t out of focus, I felt being able to take my photographs on the green background gave me and advantage to be able to use the quick selection tool on Photoshop to cut the image from the background easier.

I have also used the flip video cameras to construct my peer feedback questionnaires, I feel this gives me the chance to perhaps access more information than I have asked for so this helped me to decide what to include in my magazine.

I used the quick selection tool quite a lot; this was to cut the model away from the background so I could place them on top of a background, like the graffiti background I used in my front cover drafts. During this experimentation stage I decided for my magazine to appear more convection and to hold more clarity to read the text a block colour background was more suitable for my main image to be in front of. This is why I had a white background for my front cover, a black background for my contents page and another white background for my double page spread. I decided to have both white backgrounds for the front cover and the contents page so I could relate the main feature story the particular page, this also creates continuity.
