• Our distribution company for the film is Candi Studios

• We chose to use these companies because our film is low budget and it would be silly to use a large Hollywood company for a British-based film such as Universal or Warner Bros

G22 Productions

• G22 Productions is a smaller independent company• It is for the young people of our generation who want to

become big film makers but need a starting point to begin with• It’s a place where students and young people can produce films

where they can relate and think that others can do the same• There is no specific genre G22 Productions can only produce

but the main genre utilised is the teen drama films based on the “hood” life

• It produces mostly films that oose real life and what society is really like from a teen’s perspective

Why?

• We chose these companies because it would be unrealistic to include major companies in a small low budget film.

• We could have used companies in Britain that already exist and produce low budget films but we didn’t do this because we wanted to create our own specific distribution company due to our target audience. (Teenagers mainly)

• We can imagine City and Islington students watching our film due to how much they can relate to the life in the film as a CandI student, but also in general as a student who has just started in a new environment and is trying to fit in, but at the same time, be unique and different.

• However, a self criticism would be that choosing a low budget film doesn’t have a large target audience as they don’t have the right funds to appeal to all of these individuals.

• Another reason for choosing these companies would be that we are using unknown directors and actors so it would only make sense to use unknown production and distribution companies.

Which company would distribute our film?

• Artificial Eye is a British film distributor, specialising in foreign-language and art house films for cinema and home entertainment.

• They produce smaller UK films so this would be perfect for us to distribute our film with.

• They have a Facebook page so that would be great for advertising.• They also have their own website.
