3 – What kind of institution might distribute your media product & why? • During my research task I researched the film institution that produces the best and most common action-thriller, from my research task, I fount out it was ‘20 th Century Fox’. 20 th Century Fox was founded on the 31 st May 1935, and are owned buy Rupert Murdoch, and have released some of the best action-thrillers, such as Taken, X-Men, Fantastic 4 and the Batman trilogy. From secondary source research 20 th Century Fox are most well- known for their TV show called ‘Simpsons’. • I chose 20 th Century Fox as my distributer in my opinion, they produce the best action-thriller films. They also produced my main inspiration and favorite film ‘Taken’. • I used Wikipedia, to get background information and history for the 20 th Century Fox Film Corporation - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/20th_Century_Fox • I did not include the 20 th Century Fox montage at the begging of my film, because of my wariness of copyright issues, so that lead to me making up my own distributor called ‘Walter White Productions’. • Like my inspirational films, my film would be distributed in a mainstream multiplex cinema, such as Vue or Odeon. I would do this because, as I have got such a popular and wide range audience , public cinemas, would be a prime way to attract my audience.
