QUESTIONNAIRE

Page 4: Evaluation Q#3

• Unlike AS, I made an online questionnaire this time using Google docs which helped me to gather a wide range of response .

• 13 questions were included in my questionnaire which covered almost every aspect of my film be it the theme, social issue highlighted, inclusion of child stars etc. My questionnaire got more than 40 responses from people belonging to different age groups.

• 42% males and 58% females answered my Questionnaire which gave me a proportionate response. Though it also shows that females are more likely to watch my film.

•The age distribution question shows that 71% of my target audience would be from the age group 13-18, means teenagers will be more likely to watch a social drama film.

• When asked if they watch drama films, 94% of my target audience said they do which means they’ll have a general idea about how drama films are which will prove beneficial for me as they’ll be able to grasp my film easily.

• In another question where I asked which theme they would prefer watching in a drama film, 28% of them chose Poverty and Unemployment respectively. And these are actually the two social issues that I’ve highlighted in my film.

• My last question was about reference films which asked which out of these two films have you seen before. The audience response tells they’ll be able to closely relate to raincoat because 72% of them chose it. My film is also closely related to Raincoat.

FOCUS GROUP

Page 7: Evaluation Q#3

• Focus group are a form of qualitative research in which a group of people are asked to give opinion about a particular product.

I conducted focus group interviews in the research and planning phase to• Gain information about which of my reference film’s trailer my target

audience is more likely to relate to.• If they like a particular trailer, why is it so ?• If they doesn’t like any particular thing about that trailer, then maybe I

should refrain from using that thing in my film as well.

• During this phase, I realized that my audience can express their views freely. Apart from appreciating certain elements in the film, they openly criticized some parts too.

• My target audience was interested in “Slumdog Millionaire” the most. The reason being though it highlights a social issue but it has a modern touch to it. They really liked the narrative and the background music of the film.

• Therefore, though my film relates to Raincoat more but I’ve tried to highlight social issues in a way that the audience doesn’t get bored watching it just like Slumdog Millionare.

• In order to get the response for my film I uploaded it on Facebook.

• From the audience response, I’m satisfied. My target audience considered it a very nice movie which not only entertained them but also conveys a message.

• My audience appreciated the fact that I’ve highlighted social issues like Poverty and Unemployment in my film.

• They also like the tensed music I’ve used in the end and the sad one which I’ve used at some instances.

• The audience didn’t expect the protagonist to die in the end so it was a surprising element for them.
