Our thriller isn’t aimed at any particular social groups but it may cross paths with younger people such as teenagers and couples. This is because they are the killers main target throughout the film as he kills young people in love which is what he is jealous of. This could show that teenagers are more venerable because they are younger and the killer is choosing to kill them because of this and that they may not have as much common sense as an adult and there for would be easier to kill. For example the girl is sat on her own in the dark in the opening sequence that suggests that she is naive and obviously isn’t a smart thing to do

For example the girl is sat on her own in the dark in the opening sequence that suggests that she is naive and obviously isn’t a smart thing to do which makes it easier for the killer to target.

It may also show that people in love may also be venerable as they are more likely to not pay attention to what is happening around them and only focus on each other which would distract them and make them more of a target. At the start of the film Becky is waiting for her boyfriend to come and get her to go to a party. When people associate teenagers going to a party they may think about the fact that they will be drunk and again show lack of common sense.

When choosing the star of our opening sequence we needed someone who would be less powerful than the killer and was a teenager. We thought of having a girl that would die as they are seen to be weaker and smaller than men so she wouldn’t stand a chance against this psycho. Our actress was also a teenager, so it was ideal and fit into the story line and she was blonde so stereotypically ‘the blonde one always dies’ and they are meant to be less intelligent. She has headphones in which again shows teenagers to be naive as she is already in an unsafe place at night and she wouldn’t be able to hear anybody coming.

This is the first person that dies in thethriller film ‘jaws.

This is our actress and the first person to die in our thriller.

They both have similar characteristics as they are both teenagers, both blonde, they both die first, nobody hears either of them when they die and they both have a boyfriend. As Jaws also has a blonde girl that dies first it strengthens my point that they are seen to be a bit ‘dumb’ because of their actions.
