What your intentions were when taking the photographs?Upon taking these photographs I wanted to have the model looking relaxed at the skatepark, seeming like he had just finished a session of skating. I felt that it was important to follow the rule of thirds as it makes the image look cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing. I wanted to have the shot as a long shot to include a good amount of the skatepark whilst also keeping full focus on the model and the clothing. How the final image fulfils your intentions?The final image fulfils my intentions in the sense of the clothing being clear for the audience to see adn also the subtle use of the skateboard as the prop supports the meaning of the fashion spreads.How the image is appropriate for the fashion spreads?The image is suitable for the fashion spreads because there is a good amount of headspace where the text can easily fit and look good. The image also clearly shows the model and the clothing. The model is also giving direct address to the audience which locks the audeince’s attention onto the model and then the clothing becoms more of a focus.The meaning created?The meaning which is created in this image is that of skate fashion and the mise-en-scen supports this well - especially with the clothing, prop and location.

How well the combination of image and text works?There is plenty of headspace in the image, this helped really well with the text placement. I made the text a similar colour to the model’s sweatshirt which is underneath the hoodie, the colour can also be found in the graffitti on the ramps.The meaning created?The meaning which is created is that of skate fashion and the skate life which surrounds skateboarding. The mise-en-scen further anchors the meaning of this and appeals to the target audience. How is it appropriate for the target audience?The fashion spread is suitable for the target audience and attracts them because of the mise-en-scen and especially the clothing which is the main focus of the fashion spread.Intentions Fulfilled? My intentions are fully fulfilled with this fashion spread because it clearly shows the meaning and theme of skating and skate fashion.

What your intentions were when taking the photographs?When taking these pictures I wanted to get the model wearing a bright blue jacket against a vibrant part of graffiti on the wall as it would offer some good colour in the image.How the final image fulfils your intentions?The image fulfils my intetntions because it clearly shows the model’s outfit and also the prop, because this supports the meaning of the fashion spread.How the image is appropriate for the fashion spread?The image is suitabel for the fashion spread because it clearly shows the model chilling near the skatepark in this skate clothing. This The meaning created?The meaning which this creates is that of skate fashion, this is implied and shown by the clothing and the prop heavily supports this meaning also.

How well the combination of image and text worksThere was not a clear, obvious space for the text placement however I think I it in the best place possible. The colour of the text works well with the other colours in the image and it works subtly.

The meaning created?The meaning which is created and is clear is that of skate fashion and skating locally. The mise-en-scen helps anchor this further.How is it appropriate for the target audience?The final fashion spread is suitable for the target audience because it includes elements which appeal to them, including the mise-en-scen and the location.Intentions Fulfilled? The fashion spread fulfils my intentions because the clothing is clearly being displayed for the audience to see and enjoy and they might even like the clothing enough to want to purchase it for themselves, thus why there is need for the pricing.

What your intentions were when taking the photographs?Upon conducting the photoshoot for the second portrait, I wanted to have a gritty looking location which suited the theme and also the clothing. How the final image fulfils your intentions?The images fulfils my intentions because the clothing is clear and looks good whilst also suiting the theme, as does the prop.

How the image is appropriate for the fashion spread?The image is appropriate because it supports the theme of skating and skate fashion desired for the fashion spread and gives the clothing more meaning.The meaning created?The meaning of the skate fashion is evident throughout the image because of the mise-en-scen heavily connoting the theme of skate life.

How well the combination of image and text works?The text works with the image because it states the clothing and price of each item incase the wants to seek buying it. I put a stroke around the text to make it clearer to read and also support the grittiness which I desired.The meaning created?The meaning created in this fashion spread is that of skate fashion and skating locally around Warrington. The gritty element of the image supports the theme further and it makes the clothing have more impact in the spread.How is it appropriate for the target audience?The fashion spread is suitable for the target audience because it appeals to them with the elements of mise-en-scen, along with the props and location. The audience will see the model and clothing and be inspired to care less when it comes to what they wear.Intentions Fulfilled? This spread fulfils my intentions because it carries the theme which runs through all of the other fashion spreads and has a good amount of grit and the urban surrounding support this more.

What your intentions were when taking the photographs?Upon taking the pictures for this fashion spread, I wanted a low angle shot which still showed the clothing as best as possible and whilst also having the prop in clear view. There was a couple of good photographs which could have been selected for this spread, for example, one where the model is giving direct address to audience - however the body language of the model in f this image subtly further supports the theme.How the final image fulfils your intentions?The final image fulfils my intentions because the theme is clearly resonating within the image. There is enough headroom for the tagline and other text which is convenient for the fashion spread and it also fits as a house style for the spread which seems sophisticated and hip. How the image is appropriate for the front cover?The image is suitable for the fashion spreads because the clothing is clear and the meaning of skate fashion radiated throughout. The image also appeals to the audience due to the prop and location.The meaning created?The meaning created in this image is that of skate fashion and the skate life which surrounds the extreme sport. This appeals to the target audience because they can relate.

How well the combination of image and text works?The image allows enough headroom for a good sized text which has a clear background where the sky is so the text is very easy to read. The text is the colour of the model’s sweatshirt and the colour is also on the ramps.The meaning created?The meaning created in this fashion spread is that of skate life and skate fashion, this is supported by the mise-en-scen, especially the clothing and also lighting as it very high-key and the model’s face is visible and clear for the aduience to see.How is it appropriate for the target audience?The fashion spread is suitable for the target audience because it appeals to them, The mise-en-scen helps this factor immensely. Intentions Fulfilled? This fashion spread fully fulfils my intentions because the theme and meaning are anchored well by all of the elements in the image and also the text is very visible and easy to read due to its layout.
