SimilaritiesBoth have a main image on the left hand side of the page which is what the article focuses on. Both have the article and main writing on the right hand side of the page which corresponds to the picture on the right. Both of the articles contain a drop capital in the main section of writing. Also both of the articles contain a grab quote from the main section of writing which is important and attracts the attention of the reader. Also both articles use stand firsts to detail what the article is about and what is going on in the articles. Both articles use a headline which draws the readers attention and allows the reader to know what is going to happen.

DifferencesMy article uses a image that is a lot smaller than the one in NME for example my image does not take up the whole of the left hand page whereas the NME image does. Also the right hand side of my article does not have a background but the NME magazine uses the same background as the left hand side. Also my article has writing on the left hand page this is as well as a picture but the NME uses just a picture and nothing else. Also my article uses a extra picture on the right hand side of the page this is amongst the writing and draws the attention of the reader, the image also ties in with the writing well as it in the band being interviewed, this is effective because the audience can see who and what they are reading about. My article uses different coloured fonts along with just the plain black but NME just sticks to the black font, mine is effective because it highlights the questions that are being asked and draws the attention of the reader to the key sections.
