What have you learnt about technologies from the process of

constructing this product?

I used an Apple Mac for generally doing my media coursework. It had most of the essential software's such as Adobe PremierPro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, and any other software for editing my final product and preliminary footage. It had Microsoft Windows 7 so it was easy to use.

This is the Sony AVCHD Handycam, which I had used to film the whole opening scene. Not the best camera in the world, however it was reliable, easy to use, average battery life and easily portable. Overall it was amazing! From using this, I have learnt that even a normal, average camera can still produce an excellent film!

This screengrab shows my opening scene being edited on Adobe PremierPro. At first I was like “what does this button do” but as I came to terms with it, I was able to edit my film opening scene with no problem. There numerous edits and ways of adjusting your shots. You were able to create your own titles which was helpful, and adding non-diegetic sounds was never a problem.

This is a normal tripod that went with the camera. It was able to perform panning shots, tilt shots and canted angle shots. It was portable as well. Great overall.

YouTube was used to upload any footages such as my raw footages and drafts. I was able to simply embed it to the blog.

Prezi was one of the software’s in which I was able to present my work. I was creative, colourful, and easy to create.

Slideshare was another way of presenting my work. This was good to use as you can create a PowerPoint presentation and upload it on this programme so that you can transfer it on your blog. In fact the evaluation post that you are reading now is presented by Slideshare!

This screengrab shows freesound.org, and this really helped me as I had learnt that you can get copy-right free sounds and music of all kinds, and download it. I did this for all the non-diegetic sounds in my opening scene, as I imported these sounds in Adobe PremierPro and I could edit it as well.

This screengrab shows the presentation software called Slides. It was my favourite way of doing certain posts as it was extremely easy to use, and you could share it on your blog.

This is basically my blog! I had created it on Blogger, on the internet. It contains all my AS Media coursework. It was easy to organise and use.

Another software from Adobe. It is Adobe Flash, and I had used it to create my animated production ident, which is featured in my opening scene. I had learnt how to create animated objects and logos from this.

This is Adobe Photoshop, and it was used to create my title sketches (drafts). I had some experience with it from GCSE Media so it wasn’t too bad with creating things.

This is another presentation software called ISSUU. I really loved using this for presenting any work that required a single page format or like a booklet format, such as my storyboard, script and actor release form.
