WHAT HAVE I LEARNT ABOUT TECHNOLOGIES
FROM THE PROCESS OF CONSTRUCTING
THIS PRODUCT?
SOFTWARE Blogger – Before this unit, I did not use blogger and
did not know what it was for. I have learnt that blogger is a useful site that can be used for personal use and also, for work. I used blogger to post my work online.
Scribd – Scribd is a software used to upload work so the public can view it. The work must be done Microsoft Word then downloaded onto Scribd so you can post it on your blogs. Scribd is a popular site used by many students to upload work on.
Calameo – Calameo is similar to Scribd as it does the same thing and the purpose is exactly the same. The difference is that Calameo is used with more written documents rather than with pictures.
SOFTWARE Slideshare – Slideshare is used to allow the public to
see your work. The work uploaded must be on PowerPoint. I found that slideshare made my blog more interactive and less dull as it is a different compare to Scribd and Calameo.
Issuu – Issuu is similar to Calameo and Scribd as they have the same purpose and upload the same way. However, the downfall with Issuu is that you can only upload a limited amount of work for free.
Prezi – I would say prezi is the most interactive software as it is different to your typical PowerPoint. It makes the blog look more better and makes it more interesting. Howver, I did find Prezi hard to use as I have not used it before but after using it, I found that it was quite simply and fun as you can create your own template.
SOFTWARE Facebook – Facebook is a social networking site used
to communicate with friends. However, I realised that it is has more purpose than communication as it helped me publicise my production and get more feedback on my production.
Twitter – As said previously for Facebook, it is easy to get people to watch your work if you post it on a social networking site because many people use these sites to communicate so it is easy access for them and myself.
Final Cut Pro – This is a unique software used to put together specific footage to produce a film. This was very useful as it helped me complete my production ‘ENIGMA’.
HARDWARE Camera (Panasonic HD HVX200) – This
camera was very handy when trying to produce my opening sequence. At first, I thought it was hard to handle as it was quite heavy for me to carry. Also, there are quite a few buttons on the camera so I thought it was quite complicated to handle. However, after using the camera a couple of times, it was quite easy to work.
Tripod – The tripod was easy to handle and set up. I found that it had more than one purpose, the tripod helps with different angles such as; high angle and low angle.
HARDWARE Macbook Pro– The Macbook Pro was easy to
use as it like a normal laptop. I used the Macbook Pro to complete my coursework needed for the production. It was easy for me to use a Macbook Pro as I have used them before in previous years.
Mac – I found the Mac hard to use as I have not used it before. However, after using it a couple of times and askign help from my peers I found it was easy to use. I used the iMac when editing my production ‘ENIGMA’. I was easy to import music and footage onto the iMac.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, I have learnt that there are many ways to make your work more interesting rather than using Microsoft Word or PowerPoint.
Also, I feel more comfortable and confident when using equipment such as; the camera and tripod. Also, it is much easier to use the iMac as I used it when completing my production ‘ENIGMA’.
