Demographic
The main demographic is teenagers. The protagonist is a teenager which creates verisimilitude to the audience.
Walking at night is common for teens so they can empathise with protagonist.
His phone runs out of battery which is something that could actually happen so this makes the audience fear that this scenario could take place in real life.
Being set at night is common in thrillers and this setting creates mystery because anything could be lurking in the shadows.
The film would not appeal to mainstream audiences so therefore it would be better to release it online for a more niche audience.
