My media product presents a stereotypical view at first on how grime doesn’t have class and the clothes they wear look hoody.

I feel that I have represented young people aged of 15 – 25 in a negative way through the dress code because the artist is wearing a casual tracksuit. However to represent grime a casual tracksuit was the best choice to use, as it connotes that grime is seen as the underground of music in the music industry. More importantly it shows people who don’t listen grime think that young people are getting influenced by grime and like to dress like grime artists.

My magazine represents gender as male dominated because there are no females present in the magazine. My magazine is a unisex magazine even though it has no females in it, this is due to the feedback I got from my questionnaire where I asked females whether they like or listen to grime and the majority of my feedback was that they do like grime and they listen to it. I also asked them what their favourite grime artists was and then I decided to include them on my contents page in order to attract more female audience.

I have represented class in a positive light through the use of social mobility, whereby the artist started with nothing and he has slowly brought himself up to the ranks to where he is right now. This story can inspire the youth and people of all ages that class, age and gender shouldn’t stop you from achieving what you what to do in life.
