How does your media product represent particular social groups?

My final magazine represents different social groups in different ways. Through my magazine I have aimed it more at the top ages of my target audience. This is because I feel not only is there a gap in the market; I feel I could produce a better product for them. This therefore may make the younger audience feel excluded as the magazine is not targeted to them. However, people older than my target audience may feel excluded and may feel they are all represented as not liking this genre of music. Gender has on the most part been evenly represented within my magazine. I have on the most part used an even ration of males to females within my contents pages. This therefore, presents both genders are equal. I feel that I have created a magazine that is more aimed at white middle classed people. I feel this as through the content and images I have aimed it at them more. However, I have used images of people from different ethnicity groups. This is used to represent them all evenly within my magazine. Therefore, I feel all ethnicities are evenly represented with in my magazine, but there might be a preference to have middle class white people in the magazine so the majority audience can relate to the people and content of the magazine. Finally, I dont believe I have represented disabled people within my front cover, contents or double page spread. This is because I have made no reference to this social group, the audience will not feel offended or off putted by the content of my magazine.
