The Moscow Regional Subdivision of the International Academy of Ecology, Man, and

Nature Protection Sciences (MANEB), together with JSC “Waste Ecology”,

submitted the following project to the international environmental competition of

Russian environmental initiatives “EuroRuss: Partnership, Experience, Innovation”: a fundamentally new

technology of pyrolysis plants which makes it possible

to implement automated continuous production

of new types of energy products – charcoal pellets

(caloric 8000 kcal / kg) and biodiesel fuel (Euro-4).

The Moscow Regional Subdivision of the International Academy of Ecology, Man and

Nature Protection Sciences (MANEB), together with JSC “Waste Ecology”,

offers heat energy generation in individual homes and small businesses through the use of

a new fuel material: charcoal pellets made of fine-fraction wood coal.

Unlike conventional pellets, which are made from sawdust leftover from timber production,

these charcoal pellets can be made from forestry waste: dried and broken trees,

remnants of burnt wood, twigs, etc. After heat treatment and charcoal production,

the result is shredded into pieces.

Then, after the resultant granular mass is pressed and heat-treated, charcoal

pellets of a given size are produced. At the same time, incidentally generated pyrolysis gas

produces biodiesel motor fuel, which can be used for the company’s own production needs and for the machinery involved in

clearing the forest. Use of the aforementioned raw-material base of manufacturing charcoal pellets and biodiesel meets global standards

of effective environmental management.
