VIA Outlets Investments
In September 2014 Hammerson invested in VIA Outlets, a major new venture with the aim of acquiring existing European outlet centres with growth potential. Alongside Hammerson, the other partners in VIA Outlets are Value Retail, APG and Meyer Bergman. Since the creation of VIA Outlets the partnership has invested over €300million (£238million) creating a portfolio of 180,000 sq m of retail space and in excess of 500 stores.
