According to the 2020 strategy are considered at risk of poverty or social exclusion to the population found in any of the three situations specified below:

People living on low incomes (60% of median equivalent income or consumption unit), and / or people suffering severe material deprivation (4 of the 9 items defined) and / or persons living in households with an very low intensity of job (below 20%). Should be included in two or three conditions, people are counted only once.

People at risk of poverty after social transfers

Persons with income below 60% of average (after social transfers).

Severe material deprivation The severe material deprivation correspond to the population that live in households that do not have at least four of these nine concepts:1) no having delays in the payment of the rent, mortgage or recipts related to the household2) keeping the household in a adecuate tempeture during the cold months3) deal with unespected expenses4) a meal with meat, chicken or fish every two days5) go on vacation out of home, at least one week a year6) a car7) a washing machine8) a color TV 9) a phone

People that live in households with a low job intensity People from 0 to 59 years old that live in households where the adults have worked less than a 20% of their job potential, the year before the interview (reference period of the incomes). It is calculated by the number of months in which the members of a household have been working during the reference year and the total of months in which, theoretically, the members could have been working. The ratio is calculated and determined if is less than a 20%

Risk of poverty and/or social exclusion (Europe 2020 strategy) by groups of ageIn 2012 the 28.1% of women meet one of the three situations for being in risk of poverty or social exclusion compared to the 28.4% of men. These percentages are higher than last year (28.0% women and 27.3% men)

In women, by groups of age in 2012, the highest percentages of risk of poverty or social exclusion correspond to the young women (33.3% of women under 16 and 24,1% women between 16 and 29 years old).The lowest percentage of risk correspond to the women with 65 years or more (17.6%).

In men by group of age the highest percentages also correspond to the young men (34.9% in men between 16 and 29 years old and 32.4% of men under 16). The lowest percentage of risk correspond to the men with 65 years or more (15.3%).

Risk of poverty and/ or social exclusion (Europe 2020 strategy) according to labour situation The highest percentage of women in risk of poverty or social exclusion in 2012 correspond to the unemployed women (55.6%) and secondly to the inactive women (35.1%).

In men, the highest percentage of the year 2012 correspond to unemployed men (68.7%) and secondly to the inactive men (45.3%).

EPES 2011: 120 labour practices, 3 provinces, youth under 30 years

EPES 2012: 280 labour practices, seven provinces, young people under 30 years, people at risk of social exclusion (118), long-term unemployed and women

Job placement: 37% in 2011 and 28% in 2012

Insertion by collective 2012: 20.3% exclusion risk, 32.3% under 30, 25% long-term unemployed, 36% women

Employment rate of 74% for the population aged 20-64 years in 2020 and female employment rate of 68.5% for the same group.

Professionals Experiences for Employment

Experience professionals for employment the EPES program is a program of internships in companies granted by the Ministry of economy, innovation, science and employment of the Junta de Andalucía whose ultimate goal is the inclusion of unemployed persons in companies related with labor sectors which apprentices who have made professional practices

In 2011-2012 were carried out a total of 120 two-month practice in companies distributed between the provinces of Almeria and Malaga and Seville with the collective of unemployment youngster, with a rate of employability of 37% approximately.

During the period 2012-2013 was implemented the program in seven of the Andalusian provinces (Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Jaén, Málaga and Sevilla) lasting between two and four months and a total of 280 beneficiaries, with the employment rate above 28%. In this case, the groups with which they worked were people at risk of social exclusion, youth, women and long-term unemployed.

Throughout 2014 the project is implemented in Cádiz, Málaga and Sevilla, doubling the number of technicians in each of the provinces to manage a total of 240 practices lasting between two and four months. The group with which we are working is with people at risk of social exclusion.
