The Young Talent Architecture Award (YTAA) is organized by the Fundaci Mies van der Rohe with the support of Creative Europe as an extension of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture - Mies van der Rohe Award.

The YTAA aims to support the talent of recently graduated Architects, Urban Planners and Landscape Architects who will be responsible for transforming our environment in the future. YTAA has emerged from curiosity about and interest in the initial stages in these students development and a desire to support their talent as they enter into the professional world.

YTAA 2016 ExhibitionThe aims of this exhibition This exhibition will be presented in Architecture Schools and Institutions with the aim to discover how architecture studies are being carried forward and to open the debate on how architecture is taught. It also aims to raise awarness of the Award itself, illustrating how it works and what its values are.

By showing together all the Graduation Projects presented in the YTAA 2016, we have an overview of the subjects that have been discussed by students and professors in European Schools during the last year.

Projects are displayed separately as Nominees, Shorlisted, Finalists and Winners in order to explain the YTAA as a discussion and selection process. By highlighting the results of YTAA 2016 the intention is to transmit the enthusiasm to architecture students and schools and encourage them to take part in the upcoming YTAA 2018.

YTAA 2016 exhibition has been designed as an easy download and print format to keep things simple and accesible for any Architecture School and Institution which wishes to host it.

Total size: 30 m2 / 30 lineal metres

List of required material:

30 m of paper roll dinA1 wide

A colour printer

YTAA 2016 exhibition has been thought as a self printing 30 meters long continuous paper band.

We are awared it is not that usual having such a long empty wall, that is why the material can be display by dividing it as we suggest in the following examples:

The Fundaci Mies van der Rohe encourages the institutions hosting the exhibition to invite the Winners and Finalists to explain their projects and/or a representative of the Fundaci Mies van der Rohe YTAA team to make a presentation of the Award.

The YTAA 2018 will be launched in September 2017: open call for Graduation Projects presented between August 1, 2016 and December 31, 2017. The updated Rules will be published at the same moment.
