Project Purpose:

• To develop partner countries’ civil protection capacities for prevention, preparedness and response

• To bring partner countries progressively closer to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism

• Better knowledge of risk exposure and available resources

• Strengthened prevention mechanisms at local, national and regional level

• Improved capacity for a coordinated, effective and efficient disaster response

• Improved coordination with the Eastern ENPI civil protection Authorities and the EU Civil Protection Mechanism - MIC

• Implementation of the requirements of the Hyogo Framework for Action Agreement and post 2015 Hyogo Framework.

• Incorporation of climate change adaptation (CCA) and disaster risk reduction (DRR) into national public investment and development planning system
