Eureka Public School Your Future Success Starts Here Notes Week 3 Term 2 Newsletter Wednesday 15th May 2019 Principals Message Hello everyone, I hope all of the mums in our community had a great day last Sunday and were well taken care of throughout the day. All of our students enjoyed putting together a little gift and card last Friday and I hear there was some creative hiding of presents in different households. This week our Year 3 & Year 5 students participated in NAPLAN Online. First up was the writing test, followed by the reading test today. All students have worked hard leading up to this point and should be congratulated for their efforts. Tomorrow we have the Spelling and Grammar test followed by the Numeracy test on Friday. Due to NAPLAN we will not be holding an assembly this Friday. Good luck for the rest of the week Years 3 and 5. This term the school will be hosting Empire Vale in the rst round of the small schools PSSA soccer knockout competition. We will be trialling any students who wish to play for the team in the coming weeks. This Saturday is the Federal Elections and our school will be a polling station for the day. The P&C have organised a fundraiser in the form of a BBQ, as well as selling rae tickets for a hamper of donated goods. The following weekend is the ‘Folk at the Eureka Hall’ event. Doors open at 5pm and it looks like an amazing way to bring the whole community together. The school will be selling cakes and dessert on the night to raise money for the school. We would greatly appreciate your support on both of the days and we would like to thank the P&C for all of their efforts getting us ready for these events. Enjoy the week Mr Dempster - Principal
