•Theinstallationhasbeencalculated,designedandmanufacturedonthebasisofthelateststate-of-the-arttechnologyandthegenerallyrecognizedsafety-relevantrulesandregulations.Itmayonlybeoperatedifitisinperfectcondition,takingintoaccountthespecificationsofthepresentmanual.Anyusebeyondthedefinedapplicationlimitsisinadmissible!
• Theinstallationistobeoperatedandmaintainedinsuchconditionthatthesafetyisguaranteedatalltimes.Anintegralpartofthisconditionistheappropriateuse,thecompliancewiththeoperatingconditionsprescribedbythemanufacturer,aswellastheregularservice(mainte-nance/checking).
• Inordernottocreateanydangeroussqueezingandshearingpoints,nostructuralmodificationmustbemadewithinthedoorsurroundings,withoutpriorauthorizationfromECOSchulteGmbH&Co.KG.Furthermore,itisimportantthatnoobjects(suchasfurniture,pallets,etc.)beplacedinthevicinityofthedoor.
•Allfurtherinterventionsonandmodificationsoftheinstallationthatarenotdescribedinthepresentinstructionsareforbidden!
• TheswingdoordrivemechanismwithfireprotectionratingETS64-Rmayonlybeinstalledandoperatedindryrooms.Ifthisconditioncannotbefulfilled,thecustomermustprovidesufficientprotectionfrommoisture.

•Transparentsdoorwingsandfixedsidepanels(ortheirsurfaces)mustbeclearlyrecognizable,e.g.bymeansofapermanentmarkingordyedmaterials.
•Doorsillsorotherprotrudingelementsofthedoorsystemhavetomemarkedwithawarningstickerorappropriatemarking.
• Itisimperativeforthecustomertoinstalladoorleafstoppiece!Thelatterlimitstheopeningmotionofthedoorleafandpreventsit'sbeingdamagedinthemanualoperatingmode.Asanoption,anopenpositionstoppiececanbeintegratedintothedrivemechanismitself.
2.3.2 Service
Inordertoguaranteethesafetyoftheusersatalltimes,theinstallationmustbecheckedwithregardtoitssafeconditionbeforethefirstcommissioningandduringnormaloperation,at least once a year,byaexpert.Thecorrectmaintenance/checkingmustbeconfirmedbyenteringthedateandsignatureintothecontrolbooklet.Inaddition,fireprotectioninstallationsneedtobecheckedonceayearbyanauthorizedspeci-alist.Thecorrectcheckingmustbeconfirmedbyenteringthedateandsignaturetothemainte-nancecontrolbookletforfixingdevices.
2.3.3 Safety devices
Itisinadmissibletobypass,shuntordisablethesafetydevices.Anydefectivesafetydevicesmaynotbedisconnectedinordertobeabletocontinuetheoperationoftheinstallation.
2.3.4 Malfunctions
Ifanymalfunctionsoccurwhichmightbedetrimentaltothesafetyoftheusers,theinstallationmustbeimmediatelytakenoutofoperation.Itmayonlybetakenbackintooperationafterthemalfunctionhasbeenrepairedandalldangereliminated.
2.3.5 Accessories/Spare parts
AsafeandreliablefunctionoftheinstallationcanonlybeguaranteedifitisoperatedwiththeoriginalECOSchulteGmbH&Co.KGaccessories/spareparts.ECOSchulteGmbH&Co.KGdecli-nesallresponsibilityfordamagesresultingfromunauthorizedmodificationsoftheinstallationorfrom the use of foreign accessories/spare parts.

TheswingdoordrivemechanismwithfireprotectionratingETS64-Rallowsanautomaticopeningandclosingofswingdoorswithfireprotectionrating.Thedoorisopenedeitherautomaticallyormanuallyviathecontrolelements.Theclosingisinitiateduponexpiryoftheprogrammedhold-opentime.IfthePush-and-Gofunctionisenabled,thedoorjustrequiresaslightmanualpushuponwhichthedrivemechanismcarriesoutanautomaticopeningsequence.
Theoperatingcharacteristicsofthedoorcanbedeterminedviatheprogramselector(selectionoftheoperatingmodes).

3.2 Standard applicationDuring normaloperation,theopeningandclosingmovementsofthedoorleafaremotorized.Theautomaticallyopeningisperformedviaopeningelements.Theautomaticallyclosingstartsassoonastheprogrammedhold-opentimehasexpired.
Functionintheeventofafirealarm/amainsfailureThedoorleafisclosedfromanypositionbymeansofspringpower.Themotorattenuationensu-res a controlled closing.
3.3 Inverse applicationTheswingdoordrivemechanismETS64-Risalsoappropriateforinversedoperation.Thisparti-cularfunctioncanbeseparatelyprogrammedforeachdrivemechanism.Theinverseapplicationissuitableforsmokeextractionfrombuildings(RWA=smokeandheatexhaustventsolution)aswellasforescapeandrescueways.IntheeventofapowerfailureoraRWA,thisfunctionalityensuresthatthedoorleafisreliablyopened.
During normaloperation,theopeningandclosingmovementsofthedoorleafaremotorized.Theautomaticallyopeningisperformedviaopeningelements.Theautomaticallyclosingstartsassoonastheprogrammedhold-opentimehasexpired.
Functionintheeventofasmokealarm/amainsfailureThedoorleafisopenedfromanypositionbymeansofspringpower(unlessithasnotbeenlocked).Themotorattenuationensuresacontrolledopening.Anemergencypowersupplysystemisthereforenotnecessary.
Attention:Theinversefunction(spring-poweredopening)mustnotbeusedonhold-opendevicesorinfire-protectionsections,asthisfunctioniscontrarytothe"self-closing"property(whichisrequiredbythestandards)!

5 SERVICE5.1 Care/checking to be carried out by the operator

5.1.1 Switching off
• SelecttheoperatingmodeMANUAL or
• Switch-offthemainswitch.
5.1.2 Care
•Cleanthefloorwithintheareaofthedoorwing.
• Clean the outside of the drive mechanism covering with a moistened rag.
Warning:Donotuserunningwaterorhigh-pressuremachinesforcleaningthedrivemechanism!
Attention:Donotuseanymetalbrushesorchemicalproductsforcleaningtheinstallation!

5.1.3 Checking
Theinstallationmustbecheckedatregularintervals,atleastevery2months(checkingofthedifferentelementsasfarastheseareincludedintheinstallation):
•Whenthedoorwingismovedbyhand,canyouhearanyunusualgrindingorscreechingnoi-ses?
•Checkthefunction,thefreeaccesstoandidentificationoftheemergencystopbutton(optio-nal).
• Check the correct fastening of the drive mechanism covering.
Attention:Pleasecontactimmediatelyyourafter-salesserviceifyoudetectadamageormalfunc-tionthatyoucannotrepairyourself.
5.2 Maintenance/checking carried out by the after-sales service
Warning:Inordertoguaranteethesafetyoftheusersatalltimes,theinstallationmustbeche-ckedwithregardtoitssafeconditionbeforethefirstcommissioningandduringnormaloperation,at least once a year,byaexpert.Thecorrectmaintenance/checkingmustbeconfirmedbyenteringthedateandsignatureintothecontrolbooklet.Inaddition,fireprotectioninstallationsneedtobecheckedonceayearbyanautho-rizedspecialist.Thecorrectcheckingmustbeconfirmedbyenteringthedateandsignaturetothemaintenancecontrolbookletforfixingdevices.
Note:We recommend to conclude a maintenance contract with the manufacturer of the installation,respectivelywithhisauthorizeddistributionpartner.

ThecontrolunitrecognizesvariouserrorsituationsandconditionsanddisplaysthemontheD-BEDIX/KOMBI-D-BEDIXpanelbymeansofanerrornumber.Fatalerrors(doorinstandstill)willbeautomaticallyshownonthedisplaywhentheinstallationisswitchedon.
6.1.2 Carrying out a Reset
BeforecarryingoutaReset,makesuretonotetheerrornumber.
•UponselectionandconfirmationbymeansoftheOKkey,thedrivemechanismautomaticallyre-adjustsitself.
Shouldyounotsucceedineliminatingtheerror,pleasecalltheafter-salesservice(Adress:seechapter1).
