GENERAL CONDITIONS

A Canadian foreign air operator certificate is issued subject to thefollowing conditions, and shall remain valid, subject to subsection6.71(1) of the Aeronautics Act, as long as these conditions arecomplied with:

(a) the foreign air operator shalt have a valid air operatorcertificate or equivalent document issued by the state of theforeign air operalor;

(b) tile foreign air operator shall make no change in its airtransport service in Canada, except in the case of anemergency, without notit5’ing the Minister;

(c) the foreign air operator shall notify the Minister within10 working days after any change in its legal name or tradename;

(d) the foreign air operator shall conduct flight operations inaccordance with the ICAO standards;

(e) Ihe foreign air operator shall maintain its aircraft in accordancewith the ICAO standards;

(f) the foreign air operator shall comply with the applicableprovisions of these Regulations; and

(g) the foreign air operator shall conduct a safe operation.

AUTHORIZATION

I - This operations specification is issued pursuant to subparagraph701,08(g)(vi) of the Canadian Aviation Regulations and authorizes theoperation of the types of aircraft indicated by reference numbers and listedin section 3 of this operations specification by a foreign air operator or anoperator of a foreign state aircraft to use a long range area navigationsystem as the primary or additional means of navigation while operating inCanada.

CONDITIONS

2. This authority is granted subject to the following conditions:

(a) in the case where a long range area navigation system is theprimary means of navigalion, a foreign air operator and the operator ofa foreign stale aircraft shall hold a valid authorization or equivalentdocument issued by the state of the foreign air operator or the operatorof a foreign state aircraft;

(b) in the case where a long range area navigation system is tobe used as an additional means of navigation, the foreign air operatoror the operator of a foreign state aircraft shall hold a valid authorizationor equivalent document issued by the state of a foreign air operator orthe operator of a foreign state aircraft;

(c) the otT~ainvay direct route or route segment may be usedprovided the flight planned route and means of navigation is acceptableto the Air Traffic Control Service concerned;

(d) all routes, route segments or airspace to be used shall belisted and available to each flight cre’v member and the personresponsible for the operational control of the flight and include theinformation on navigational aids, tracks, allitudes and distances foreach route; and
