    Objective:

    The procedure is made for ETPE_ETPA REPLACEMENT The contain of procedures are: 1. Preparation 2. Preconditioning 3. Troubleshooting 4. Finishing

    Tools:

    1. TANG/HIT 2. SERIAL CABLE / ETHERNET CABLE 3. Anti-static strap 4. Test call equipment 5. Trouble Report Sheet

    Need ETP module Spare (C111826) ETP plug-in unit (functional unit) and related sw-modules: - ETP-A (ETPA) = GGNETPAA.IMG - ETP-A (ETPC) = GGNETPCC.IMG - ETP (ETPA) = GGNETPAB.IMG - ETP (ETPE/ETPT) = GGNETPET.IMG No ACTIVITY CHECK CONDITIONAL REMARK I PREPARATION

    1 Check availability permission action or network interruption from the customer OK

    2 Tools and replacement modules availability OK

    3 Check new ETP card jumper setting & switch OK See appendix

    4 Wear Anti-static strap OK II PRECONDITIONING

    1 Connect Ethernet/ serial cable & login to BSC. Record /create activity log

    OK

    2 Record all BSC alarms OK III TROUBLESHOOTING

    1 Check the working unit state ETPE/ETPA which will be replaced OK ZUSI:ETPA; or ZUSI ETPE;

    2 Change the unit state of ETPE/ETPA which will be replaced to SE-NH OK

    Example: ETPA:0 will be replaced. ZUSC:ETPA,0:BL; ZUSC:ETPA,0:TE; ZUSC:ETPA,0:SE; ZUSC:ETPA,0:SE;

    3 Check the interchangeability and DIP switch settings of the new plug-in unit. OK See Appendix 1

    Replace the plug-in unit. a: disconnect all cable from ETPE / ETPA which will be replaced. Label it / remember it. This cable must be connect in the same port in new ETPE/ETPA. b: plug out the faultu ETPE/ETPA c: insert new ETPE/ETPA & connect the

    5 Change the unit state of ETPE/ETPA into TE-EX. OK ZUSC:ETPA,0:SE; ZUSC:ETPA,0:TE;

    6 Check the embedded SW version OK See appendix 2.1 ZWDM:UT=ETPA,UI=0;

    7 Check ETP SW in OMU Disk OK

    See appendix 2.2 Compare result step 6 and step 7 if not same go to step 8, otherwise go to step 12.

    8 Update the embedded software if needed OK

    Interogate server IP address for update embedded SW. See appendix 2.3 ZQRI:OMU; ZQRI:MCMU; Choose IP address with attributes LIM as server. In this case the IP server is : 10.0.1.12 Update embedded ETPA card See appendix 2.4 Waiting until flashing completed.

    9 Check the embedded SW version OK See appendix 2.1

    10 After flashing completed, change ACTIVE mode to STANDBY OK See appendix 2.5

    11 Repeat step 8 OK 12 Run diagnostic unit OK ZUDU 13 Check diagnostic report OK ZUDH

    14 If diagnostic report shows that the unit is healthy, change the state into WO-EX OK ZUSC
