    Ethics Awareness

    Abstract

Ethics denotes the principles of behavior that express how to act correctly, honorably, and

impartially in diverse conditions. Ethics is the study of standards of conduct and moral

judgment (Websters New Worlds College Dictionary). The words "ethics" and "ethical" discuss

behaviors that people's daily routines are generally structured; they relate to the many standards,

ideologies, regulations, advices and determinations that describe customs, societies and self-

    restraints. (Vanderbilt University, 2008)

The Ethics Awareness Profile indicated that I have a close alignment with the obligation and

equity factors of the core scoring system The EAI stated, You consider that ethical behavior

appeals to conscience. In deciding whether a persons actions are fitting, you look to the

objective behind the persons deeds rather than centering on outcomes. Your standpoint for

ethical codes must be: (a) suitable under any conditions (universalizable); (b) courteous of social

pride; and (c) dedicated to encouraging individual free will and independence. People must never

be treated basically as means to the achievement of some well-defined end. The end does not

justify the means. (Williams Institute EAI, 2013) . Ethical style defined me as; Your method to

ethics necessitates that, within lawful and civilized restrictions, individuals should be permitted to

make their own selections. Responding to whim, character, or regulations controlled by others

for us to observe does not establish ethical demeanor on our part. You believe that

encouragement of individual development takes priority over attaining proficiency through

structural and collective configurations that tend to dehumanize ethical decision making.

    (Williams Institute EAI, 2013)

    Ethics Awareness

When faced with an ethical situation in the work place I know I will be able to keep my values

and state those in a non-offensive way as to reaffirm by beliefs of right and wrong yet accomplish

what is expected of me in that work place. The last statement of the EAI described me perfectly

as to the articulation of my perspective: Obligation -- People are always an end in themselves,

never a means to an end. The Golden Rule is non-negotiable. Personal Attributes: Consistent,

    Committed, Dependable, Respectful, Straight arrow.

Ethics relate to many fields in the working world. Without ethics, many people lives are put into

harms way on a daily basis. In todays contemporary and multifaceted society, there has been a

constant decrease in the value of Ethics as a whole. Ethics Awareness Inventory is a essential

instrument for individuals and professionals alike to assist them from falling into the now

acceptable ways to fame and fortune.
