Why have a Code of Ethics? Life is too short to worry about the little things! By being a teacher I choose to be in the public eye and to be a positive role model.

Though I am far from perfect, I will strive to live my life well to the fullest with no regrets. I will strive to treat each person I come across with respect and dignity regardless of how they may view or treat me. My Code: Mission StatementI will be honestI will base my thoughts and actions on my religious belief I will not carry anger from one person / group to anotherI will not worry about the small stuffI will be fair and unbiased in my grading I will be honest with all my students regardless of consequencesI will give everyone a fair chance and will give them an optimistic second chanceI will not judge on superficial itemsI will strive to leave all the places I go to a better placeI, (P. Kato), will use the following Code of Ethics as a guide to good choices:I will smile everydayI will not look at names whenever possible when I am gradingI will respect and talk with my students and colleagues I will not whine and complain when things dont go my wayI will remember that appearances do not say who the person is and that high school is a time of growth and change where a person is not the same one day to the nextI will find something to laugh at every hour and go home to my family realizing I am lucky to have them, and my life. How I will do itGet to know yourselfAsk others to give a fair analysis of youCreate a pro / con list of yourselfWhat would you like to change about yourself?Develop an ethics mission statementDevelop a list of valuesExplain how you will accomplish / stick to your valuesCreate penalties or actions for failing
