    IMPORTANT If you are upgrading a 1783-ETAP tap from firmware revision 1.001 and haven't already done so, you will need to update RSLogix and RSLinx Classic software to the versions listed in the following table to access your tap from those applications after the firmware update.

    Install the Firmware RevisionLocate the appropriate firmware and copy all of the files to a temporary subdirectory on your hard disk drive.

    Firmware files are available on the RSLogix 5000 software CD.

    Use the ControlFlash utility that ships with RSLogix 5000 programming software.
