Network performance is critical to keep remote operations connected and effi cient. For this reason, organizations need a way to quickly gather data to improve troubleshooting and rapidly resolve performance issues across the network.

Tata Communications’ Ethernet Web Portal helps customers effectively monitor Ethernet services by providing access to near real-time data in graphical and tabular formats for selectable time periods. The Ethernet Web Portal is available for the following Ethernet products:

_ Global Dedicated Ethernet with Enterprise SLA (Service Level Agreement) option_ Dedicated Point-to-Multipoint Ethernet_ Dedicated Multipoint Ethernet

Flexible Performance Data

With the Ethernet Web Portal, customers can view the most up-to-date performance of Ethernet circuits by monitoring the following critical network parameters:

_ Throughput (outgoing and incoming)_ Delay (latency) _ Delay variation (jitter)_ Packet delivery ratio

For each network parameter, Tata Communications presents the average, maximum and minimum value for all measurements and the total number of data points. The Web Portal shows one-way information for each circuit. For

example, a circuit with an A and Z end would display data from A to Z and then display data from Z to A. Due to the time needed for processing and calculating data, a 30-minute delay is customary. (For example, data gathered at 9:00 am is available at 9:30 am on the portal.)

The Web Portal can also be used to compare parameter measurements from a customer’s routers to Tata Communications’ measurements. For example, if abnormal latency is reported, a ping test can be conducted between the customer’s routers for comparison against Tata Communications’ latency measurements to determine where the issue resides. In this way, the Web Portal reduces the amount of time needed to troubleshoot, diagnose and fi x problems on the circuit.

Easy Access to Data

Tata Communications provides a link to the Ethernet Web Portal for direct and easy web access. Customers receive a range of options for managing corporate access to add or delete users and assign rights for specifi c users to view different circuits. An easy-to-read user manual is provided and round-the-clock customer support is available if needed. Users can download performance reports in PDF format directly off the Web Portal.

Improved Network Analysis

The Ethernet Web Portal helps customers manage and optimize network performance. Customers can view performance data at any time of the day or night without having to contact Tata Communications. Also, each customer is allowed to see only their circuits to ensure security.
