For the past year, I have been actively involved in the activities of the ICR Cluster as part of the Core Team. This experience has given me the opportunity to understand the culture of the three ICR organizations better. It has been said that the S.Y. 2011-2012 has been one of the best for the cluster. However, there is still much room for improvement. I believe I am ready to step up to the challenge of leading the cluster to achieve its goals. I wish to help in strengthening the relationships of the organizations and improve the visibility of the Cluster. It is also important to build ties with other organizations. I want to have hands on involvement in the Cluster’s progress and improvement.

SKILLS & INTERESTS

I have excellent communication skills in English and Filipino. I have been a resource speaker in numerous youth-organized activities both at a provincial and national levels. I am fairly fluent in speaking French. Likewise, I have fair skills in photo, music and video editing. I am an efficient worker both as an individual and a group member. I have significant experiences in organizing events and projects in the school and in the community. I have an interest in social services and awareness. This has led me to involve myself in numerous socio-civic organizations and activities since I was in grade school. As a young student, I have developed the passion to be a big sister to poor children – organizing feeding programs and charity work for them. I have a particular interest in the youth empowerment advocacy, international relations and politics.






III. PLATFORM

1) Main Point: Strengthen the ICR CommunityDetails: To improve the relations of the three ICR organizations. I wish to provide avenues for collaborative effort. In effect, these will hopefully stimulate the organizations to work harmoniously and achieve further success. Through this, the Cluster will also serve as a support system for the different activities of the organizations.

2) Main Point: VisibilityDetails: To boost the promotions of the various activities of the ICR organizations. It is important to increase awareness in the Ateneo community about the ICR and its goals.

3) Main Point: NetworkingDetails: To further help the Cluster achieve its goals, I believe it is necessary to build linkages with other organizations in and out of the Ateneo.

4) Main Point: Consultation and DialogueDetails: The Cluster Head serves as the representative of the organizations to COA. In order to do this job effectively, I believe that even the opinions of non-officers should be taken into consideration as well. Communication plays an important role, most especially between the members and officers.
