• Estelle Levin Ltd., boutique consultancy firm assisting clients with responsible mining and sourcing;
• Study: “Assessing & Enhancing the Contribution of Small and Medium-scale Enterprises to Due Diligence for Responsible Mineral Supply Chains”;
• BGR initiated, OECD supported
Background to study
• Growing importance of supply chain reporting and due diligence in “conflict minerals” supply chains (3TG);
• The anticipated challenges facing SMEs in the automotive, electronics, medical technology and jewellery industries;
• Importance of collectively addressing conflict mineral issue in supply chains.
Goals of study
• Status quo of SMEs and conflict mineral activities;
• Common challenges and successes;
• Draft recommendations and best practice examples;
• Encourage and inform support for SMEs moving forward.

• What are the business conditions and expectations a new scheme will face?
