What does this course cover?

This is a fantastic course! Not only is it a foundation for great training and assessment skills, it is a requirement for most training positions now in Australia, and designed for anyone in the vocational education sector.

There are 10 Units of Competency in the Certificate IV. The three main areas within the Certificate IV program are:

Learning Design (DES) The Design units cover how accredited training qualifications are structured, designed and developed. This gives you a fundamental understanding of how Vocational Education and Training operates in Australia and details how you would structure training that you wish to deliver.

Delivery (DEL) These units are all about how to deliver training. It may be coaching, mentoring, facilitation or large group class delivery. All aspects of delivery and engagement are covered through these units.

Assessment (ASS) The Assessment units cover all that you need to assess participants in your training: The tools, the processes, criteria and methods, validation and moderation.

All fees, charges, terms, conditions and provisions are fully transparent and available to students via the Development Dynamics website, as addition to the student handbook and with receipt of enrolment.

Provisions

If dates for face-to-face classes are changed by necessity on the part of Development Dynamics, class rescheduled with optional choice for student or correspondence training provided.

Students are expected to complete this Diploma course over 6 months with Development Dynamics. Development Dynamics will honour its commitment to assist students to achieve their qualification for this period. Extension to 12 months is available; student will need to submit an extension request.

Discounts are available for group bookings of this course.

Development Dynamics is a Registered Training Organisation and operates in accordance with applicable legislation and the Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations. Development Dynamics is entitled to charge fees for services provided to students undertaking a course of study. These fees are for items such as course materials, administrative support, student services and training and assessment services. We review our fees schedule regularly and endeavour to keep the cost of training down.

When and how do I pay?

Fees are payable when you receive notification of enrolment. Enrolment must be paid in full within fourteen days of receiving this notification from Development Dynamics. We may discontinue training if fees are not paid as required. Payment methods include Direct Deposit, or Cheque. Payment details are included in your invoice which is emailed once your enrolment form has been checked and entered into our database.

Can I get a refund? Yes - If you give notice to cancel your enrolment more than 14 days prior to the commencement of a program you will be entitled to a full (100%) refund of fees paid. If you give notice to cancel your enrolment less than 14 days prior to the commencement of a program you will be entitled to a 75% refund of fees paid. The amount retained (25%) by Development Dynamics is required to cover the costs of staff and resources which will have already been committed based on your initial intention to undertake the training. If you give notice to cancel your enrolment after a training program has commenced, you will not be entitled to a refund of fees. Discretion may be exercised by the Chief Executive Officer if there are extenuating or significant personal circumstance that led to your withdrawal. If for any reason Development Dynamics is unable to fulfil its service agreement with a student, Development Dynamics must refund the student’s proportion of fees paid for services not delivered.

How do I get a refund?

To obtain a refund you are required to give written notice to cancel your enrolment and complete a Refund Request Form. Written notice may be in the form of an email or letter. Where refunds are approved, the refund payment will be paid via electronic funds transfer using the authorised bank account nominated by you. This payment will be made within 14 days from the time you gave written notice to cancel your enrolment.

Do I pay GST in my tuition fees?

No - GST is exempt under section 38-85 GSTR 2003/1 Goods and Services Tax, tax ruling. The ruling explains the supply of a course for ‘professional or trade course’ is a GST-free education course.

What about Government Funding?

Both the Federal Government and State Government bodies have funds available to assist people in their educational growth and development. You may be eligible for Government Funding to assist you with the fees for your studies. Development Dynamics does not currently offer government funded training.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)

From 1 January 2015, all students doing nationally recognised training need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). This includes students doing Vocational Education Training (VET) in schools.

Students will need to provide their existing USI or apply for one themselves. Alternatively Development Dynamics can apply online on behalf of student (with your authorisation).
