Essential Engineering Management Processes for Railway Projects
Programme OverviewA robust engineering management process is the cornerstone of successful implementation of a railway project which comprises of the integration of various engineering disciplines. As one of the globally recognised railway builders and operators, the MTR Corporation has acquired tremendous amount of experience in implementing rail projects.
The MTR Academy is offering this corporate programme to share our experience and lessons learnt on the essential engineering management processes for railway projects,
with focus on the initial project planning stage and design approval.
This Corporate Programme intends to string up the key processes of a railway projects and highlight their roles to ensure engineering requirements fulfilment while attaining in-time delivery and budget control. Backed by the underlying principles of the processes, the programme demonstrates the applicability with case studies so that the participants are able to relate the experience to their own projects on hand.
It is a 2.5-day programme taking the participants through the key processes in project planning stage, as well as the design approval process. The programme is facilitated through a series of presentations and case studies, followed by an interactive discussion for extensive exchanges and sharing among the participants. The speakers are MTR’s senior managers with rich experience on railway project management.
