Become a specialistThe MSc in Finance degree prepares students to undertake careers in corporate finance, financial markets or asset management in the world’s major financial centers.

FocusPursue a career in the areas of corporate finance, financial markets or asset managementThe MSc in Finance programme is a generalist finance degree, which aims to give students a deep theoretical and conceptual knowledge of finance which will prepare for a wide range of careers in the financial sector. At least, over forty different professions are linked to this area: Trader, financial analyst, corporate treasury, security research analyst, corporate controller…

In the area of Capital markets, trading and risk management, investment management, security analysis, portfolio management, the finance function of industrial, commercial and service organisations, treasury management, corporate finance, venture capital and capital restructuring, corporate planning and consultancy where a knowledge of finance is required.

Who can apply?The MSc in Finance is a highly selective graduate degree open to students who have obtained (or currently pursuing):

• A Bachelor’s degree in business or economics outside of France, from a top tier international business school or university

• An M1 degree in business or economics degree in France, from a Top tier business school or university

The program (60 ECTS)

Career-oriented and internationally focused, ESSEC’s MSc in Finance is an intensive program designed to add recognized expertise to your previous training in business and/or economics.

It is an intensive study program offering a global approach to finance with a strong emphasis on the underlying basic skills needed to operate in today’s financial profession.

An internationally focused curriculumThe program teaches students to adapt to a multicultural environment addressing multinational issues, providing exposure to both Europe and Asia.It relies on a wide range of learning methods including lectures supplemented by analysis of case studies and current events and in-class exercises.

FacultyESSEC’s world-class faculty members are characterized by academic excellence, a global frame of mind, and instructional creativity.

The ESSEC Finance department has 20 permanent faculty and 10 or so adjunct lecturers. Department’s research activity focuses on: financial derivatives, risk management, commodities, portfolio theory, macro-finance, market microstructure, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate governance, bankruptcy, liquidation and reorganization and real estate.
