    Love is a symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time,

    destroying all memory of a beginning and all fear of an end.

    One of the most difficult words to define is love. Centuries have passed by, relationships

    have bloomed, and so has love. Throughout the history of mankind, we as a world culture have

    made love out to be mysterious, comple, difficult, and indefinable. !t is a sub"ect of endless

    poems and literary works. There is enormous amount of material available out there about love,a lot of it contradictory. #o matter how we define it or feel it, love is the eternal truth in the

    history of mankind.

    $%ove is a symbol of eternity. !t wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of abeginning and all fear of an end.& This beautiful 'uotation about love is a good way to look at

    our loving relationship with (od. The Bible says, $%ove is patient, love is kind. !t does notenvy, it does not boast, it is not proud. !t is not rude, it is not self)seeking, it is not easily

    angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. %ove does not delight in evil but re"oices with the truth.

    !t always protects, trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. %ove never fails.& This versedescribes the characteristics of true love, (od*s love for us. True love is a symbol of eternity.

    +ust like (od*s love for us that is eternal. uch is an amazing love, because we are the ones who

    choose to be separated from -im through our own sins, yet it is -e who mends the separation

    through -is intense personal sacrifice, and all we have to do is accept -is gift)-is only begottenon, sacrificed so that we, who put our faith in -is on, will not spend eternity separated from

    -im.

    uch 'ualities of love can also be found in all truly loving relationships. True love means

    wanting the best for the other person. !t is not possessing but liberating. !t is the action of

    choosing unconditionally in the process of offering to another human being the 'ualities ofaffection, acceptance, happiness, care, concern, respect, thoughtfulness, forgiveness, compassion,

    trust, "oy and many other positive emotional epressions of value and worth. !t is deciding to

    love the other person no matter who he was, who he is, and who he will be. !t is forgiving the

    other, who has offended us, and totally trusting and accepting him back forgetting all he has doneagainst us and putting all of it in the past. !t does not fear of what is going to happen, of what we

    will be facing as long as we are true and have loved truly. !ts depth cannot be measured. !t is the

    greatest thing we all need to learn the act of loving unconditionally.
