Enrichment Services
Program, Inc., the only
Community Action
Agency (CAA)* in Muscogee County, was established in
1965 as part of a nationwide network.

Eliminate Systemic Poverty
OUR MISSION
Eliminate Poverty Through Education, Services and Partnerships
ESP is committed to increasing the awareness of the
impact of poverty and implementing strategies
for reducing it. We identify and remove
barriers to achieve family stability and promote
interdependency. Turning hope into reality,
ESP motivates residents toward a desirable
future and encourages them to become a
healthy contributor to the life of
our community.

OUR SERVICESEarly Head Start (EHS) – EHS promotes
healthy prenatal outcomes, enhances the
development of infants and toddlers, and
promotes healthy family functioning.
Head Start (HS) – HS is a national school
readiness program. It provides comprehensive
education, health, nutrition and parent involvement
services to children, ages 3 to 5 and their families.
Energy Assistance
The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
(LIHEAP) helps households with low-income pay their
home heating bills.
Commodities
Enrichment Services Program, Inc. partners with Feeding
the Valley to implement this food distribution program
that provides a food package to participants once a
month. The food package is designed to improve the
health of recipients by supplementing their diets with
nutritious USDA commodity foods that are
designed to provide protein, calcium, iron and
vitamins A and C.
Nurse Aide Training
This program provides a scholarship for
particpants to receive classroom instruction
and clinical activities which prepare an individual to
become a CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) in a short
period of time.

sector cannot address poverty alone.

Case Management focused on
Family Self Sufficiency
Case management focused on family self
sufficiency is funded by the Community Service
Block Grant (CSBG). CSBG is an anti-
poverty reduction program that was
created to promote and provide an array of
services and activities to encourage self sufficiency and
to make permanent improvements in the lives of
families and individuals with low income.
VISION FOR INDIVIDUALS
All individuals and families in the Chattahoochee Valley
Region have a voice, are valuable community
contributors and have the resources needed to be
healthy and self-sufficient.
VISION FOR THE COMMUNITY
Communities in the Chattahoochee Valley Region are
safe, produce economic growth, provide an abundance
of opportunities and strive for ongoing improvement.
