Recap of Last Week

• Reviewed the use of Objects in the data model– Decided to align esMD Objects to PD Objects

• Continued data model development efforts– Discussed ‘Security Information’ elements

• Support staff moved these elements into the two Provider Objects and the Agent Objects

– Discussed and updated cardinality of NPI and Alternate ID elements

esMD Data Objects Member Elements

1 Provider Organization Demographics, NPI/ID, Security & Contact Information

2 Individual Provider Demographics, NPI/ID, Security & Contact Information

3 Agent Demographics, OID, Security & Contact Information

5 Individual Name First name, Middle Name, Last name, Prefix, Suffix

6 Address Address Line, City, State, ZIP code

12

Today’s Agenda

• Review updates to data model made offline by support staff

• Review and refine integration of PD Objects into the data model

• Continue with data model development

13

Adding Objects to the PPA Data Model• Grouping certain elements together as a single object enables us to better represent the

cardinality of those data elements

• Objects also enable us to easily represent more complex rules, such as:

— This object is optional, but if it is included all of its member elements are required

• We added an additional tab to the data model entitled PPA Data Model Objects. It includes the following objects:

esMD Data Objects Member Elements

1 Provider Organization Demographics, NPI/ID, Security &Contact Information

2 Individual Provider Demographics, NPI/ID, Security & Contact Information

3 Agent Demographics, OID, Security & Contact Information

5 Individual Name First name, Middle Name, Last name, Prefix, Suffix

6 Address Address Line, City, State, ZIP code

• The relevant object then replaces the list of member elements in the Request and Response tabs
