* The most important differences and similarities from English classes in Czech Republic* they use NO TEXTBOOKS
* lessons are based on reading (e.g. Teacher‘s Dead, Holes, Hobbit,…) – most of the books are read in their original editions
*classes contained relatively low amount of facts and curriculum compared to Czech school system, lessons based on R + questioning
* the children know literary theory – metaphor, metonymy, simile, alliteration, kennings, symbolism,…
* also some problems with discipline and attention
*whole department for children with specific learning difficulties
* the number of students in class vary

* almost no coming up to the blackboard

*all children feel free to ask the teacher anything
