The Organising Committee About hidroenergia 2012 The small hydropower (SHP) sector is gathering between the 23 rd and 26 th May 2012 in Wroclaw, Poland at the International Congress and HOT FUDGE Hidroenergia breaking its own records. Months of careful preparation for this years’ edition of hidroenergia paid itself off: This year’s hidroenergia managed to become a success before even opening. After registration closing on Friday, the Organizing Committee has counted more than 410 participants. It is astonishing that only 20 years ago, hidroenergia started with only 60 participants. Hidroenergia 2012 is reaching a record high of more sponsors, a sold out exhibition and a strong media partnership. ESHA and TRMEW would like to thank their supporters for making this event an achievement for the SHP sector. Trade Fair on Small Hydropower, hidroenergia 2012. The International Journal on Hydropower & Dams is a bi-monthly publication keeping the industry informed of policy, technical developments and business opportunities in the field of hydroelectric power and the construction of dams for all purposes. Published by Aqua-Media International Ltd, the journal is read in 183 countries. H&D works in collaboration with the water– and energy-related professional associations, and has been pleased to publicize ESHA’s activities and initiatives since the first Hidroenergia in 1989. ESHA plays an important role in the annual conferences organised by Aqua-Media, leading the small hydro sessions.

Mavel is a Czech Republic based manufacturing and engineering company focusing on the production of turbines and related products for hydro electric power plants ranging in size from 30 kW to 30+ MW. - Registration Start

Registrations start on Wednesday, May 23rd 2012, from 7:00 am at the RCTB (Wroclaw Congress Center, ul. Wystawowa 1, 51-618 Wroclaw).

- Match-making Sessions

For match-making sessions or to give a 10 minute presentation on your organisation in our Meeting Room D, approach our reception staff. Alternatively, you can also contact us via [email protected] and let us know your preferred timeslot(s) on Thursday (24.05.) and Friday (25.05) between 10 am and 5 pm.

- Speaker and Chairmen Briefing The briefing is taking place between 6 pm and 7 pm, on Wednesday, May 23rd 2012 in Conference Room B of the RCTB.

Special Sessions

May 25th, 2012, 8:30-12:30 Conference Room D IEA HIA Annex II Workshop

This workshop with the title “Government Policies and Experience – What works and what doesn’t” will deal with successful political frameworks for promoting SHP development. In this workshop case studies from all over the world will be presented.

May 25th, 2012, 13:30-15:30 Conference Room C Stream Map Session

In this session the work of a three year EU project (co-funding by the IEE programme) will be presented. The main outcomes are the free HYDI database, covering key energy, market and policy data regarding the hydropower sector in EU-27 countries, and a Roadmap for the sector. Collect your first draft of the Roadmap at this session!

May 25th, 2012, 14:00-15:45 Meeting Room D stoRE session

This will be a round table discussion on regulatory and market framework for energy storage infrastructure. In the framework of the European project stoRE (www.store-project.eu), participants will be invited to discuss the key elements of the existing European framework that can potentially affect the development and operation of energy storage infrastructure. The project's findings will be presented and the discussion will be lead by a panel of experts.

The Intelligent Energy Europe

Prepare your ‘ready-to-ship’ parcel and hand it over to Mr. Slawomir Gózdz or Katarzyna Panek on Friday afternoon/evening. Find them at the reception. They will put your parcel into the storehouse. The shipping company will pick it up on May 28th, 2012 between 8 am and 12 pm.

The Weather Forecast Although you will be spending probably most of your time on the exhibition grounds, do not forget to bring your umbrella to Wroclaw. As of Monday, weather forecast it will be warm (between 19°C and 27 °C), but sometimes rainy.
