• Reexamine the titles, subtitles, and section headings of the notes
• Study any illustrations or graphs from the notes.
• Look for any underlined words from the notes.

Information InterpretationRussia sends its army to defend Serbia the day after Austria-Hungary declares war on Serbia.
This is an example of Nationalism since both the Russians and Serbians were Slavic ethnic groups.
Germany declares war on Russia the day after Russia gets involved with the war.
This is due to an alliance between Germany and Austria-Hungary. It unnecessarily makes the war a bigger conflict and could soon involve Britain and France in the war.
