    TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF EVENTSSUBJECT TO MODIFICATION DEPENDING ON ENTRIES

    TDI-CGC Tests - Get Cered!On Wednesday, Nov. 7, we will oer an AKC Canine Good Cizen Test and a Therapy Dogs

    Internaonal (TDI) Cercaon Test. The tests will be given concurrently and will be scheduled

    during down mes of or aer the all-breed rally classes. The tests will take place adjacent tothe obedience/rally rings and will be conducted by Chris Cornell. CGC dogs must be at least

    6 months old, and TDI tesng dogs must be at least 1 year old. The CGC test costs $5.00, and

    the TDI test costs $10.00. A pre-registraon form is available at www.esaanaonal.com under

    Deadlines/Forms. Entries will also be accepted on the day of the tests if me allows. Dogs need

    not be entered in the show to enter either test.

    Airport: Albuquerque Internaonal Sunport - Distance from airport to host hotel is 12 miles. Trip will take

    about 15 minutes if its not rush hour. Albuquerque rush hour occurs between 7:30 and 8:30 am and 4 and 6pm weekdays.

    Direcons: From airport rental car facility, turn right (north) on University Blvd. At trac light, turn le and go

    up the ramp to Sunport Blvd. Travel on Sunport for about 0.3 mi. and take the ramp right (north) onto I-25. Go

    about 10 miles and exit at Paseo del Norte. Get into the le lane, turn le onto Paseo del Norte, go over the

    freeway on the overpass, and turn le onto the Pan American Frontage Road. Hotel entrance is on the right.

    NATIONAL VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES

    Summary & Requirements

    ELIGIBILITY: The Veterans Sweepstakes is open to all English Seers over seven years of age on the

    day of the show. Dogs and bitches entered in Veterans Sweepstakes need not be entered in any

    other classes at this show and may be spayed or neutered. Indicate your Veterans Sweepstakesclass with the age division in the space provided. Dogs may be entered in the classes below. NO

    CLASS PLACEMENTS WILL BE AWARDED. Aer every class has been evaluated, all dogs entered that

    were evaluated in their respecve classes will be brought back into the ring. The judge will then

    pick BEST IN VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES and BEST OF OPPOSITE IN VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES. In addion

    there will be one Award of Merit given for every 10 entries.

    SUMMARY, REQUIREMENTS, AND PRIZES

    1. English Seers at least six months of age up to any age may be entered. Dogs will be entered

    in pairs (male, female, or one of each, any combinaon of ages and colors), with commonbreeder on both dogs and one handler for each member of the pair. Breeders may enter

    as many pairs as they wish , as long as there is a common breeder on all pairs entered. An

    individual dog may be entered in only one pair. Breeder does not have to be owner on all the

    dogs, just breeder. Anyone can handle dogs in the pairs. Neutered animals may be entered.

    Dogs need not be entered in the Specialty in order to be eligible to compete in the Breeders

    Showcase.

    2. Judges: A panel of three judges will rate each pair, with independent tabulators to add up

    their scores. The judges will not compare notes/scores, but record their scores and submit

    them to the tabulator(s). Should there be a e in the scoring, an alternate judge may be used

    as a e breaker. Judges idenes are kept secret unl the beginning of the event, when they

    will be introduced and a short bio given on each one.

    3. Scoring: The scoring system is based on the English Seer Standard, broken into categories

    such as head, body, running gear, coat, tail, and symmetry and movement. Total possible

    points assigned for each trait are based on the relave importance of that trait. (See Ocial

    Standard of the English Seer, adopted by the English Seer Associaon of America, just prior

    to the current standard, The New Complete English Seer, 4th Edion, by Davis Tuck, Elsworth

    Howell, and Judy Graef, Howell Book House, 1982.) Combined score from the three judges will

    be given to the exhibitor.

    4. Awards: A Best in Showcase and a Reserve to Best in Showcase will be awarded, with Awards

    of Merit awarded at the judges discreon.

    whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed compeon is limited

    to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.

    3. (Event Class) Consult the classificaon in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is

    divided, then, in addion to designang the class, specify the parcular division of the class in which you are entering

    your dog, i.e, age division, color division, weight division.

    4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the me entries for an event closed. If a

    registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which

    entries closed aer the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registraon cerfi-
