Course DescriptionThis course (2 or 3 units) deals with the
principles of ecology (hydrosphere, atmosphere, lithosphere, biosphere), sustainable concepts, global environmental issues, water and wastewater management, air pollution, solid waste management, waste minimization, thermal pollution, noise pollution and case studies involving global environmental issues.

The course has the following objectives:1. To discuss how nature works.2. To describe how the environment has been and is being
used and abused.3. To make informed decisions that would insure that our
planet maintains a healthy and productive environment.4. To own the responsibility to protect and improve the
environment for the present and future generations, and for other living things.
5. To observe environmental problems in the community.6. To present environmental projects / outputs.

Total 100 %
For Pre-Final: Environmental Projects 50 % Quizzes and Exam 25 % Class Participation 25 %

Final Grade = (PG + MG + PFG)/3
