Mecha Error 07Mecha Error 08

The paper feed-in roller is not in the correct position:

up (Mecha Error 07) down (Mecha Error 08)

If the paper, when loaded, just falls back into the paper compartment, the roller is stuck in the up position.

Because the paper feed-in roller is in an incorrect state, the printer thinks the paper is loaded when it is not.

Pulling the paper out from the back of the printer manually, instead of pressing the Paper Rewind/Clear button, can cause this error.

1. Instruct the customer NOT to pull out the paper from the back of the printer, but to press the Paper Rewind and Paper Advance buttons on the printer instead.

2. Press the Paper Rewind/Clear button to cause a Paper Empty error.

3. Remove the paper. 4. Power the printer off and

then on to reset the paper feed-in roller.

5. Reload the paper, ensuring that the paper roll flanges are flush with the paper roll. Ensure that the customer is not using incorrect media, such as paper for the Photo Printer 6400.

6. If the problem continues, replace the printer.

The paper feed-out roller is not in the correct position:

up (Mecha Error 09)

down (Mecha Error 10)

1. Remove the paper. 2. Power the printer off and

then on to reset the paper feed-out roller.

3. Reload the paper correctly.

The paper cutter cannot move to the left or the right, because of a jam or a mechanical problem.

Clear any jams blocking the paper cutter.

Sometimes a lab leader card can be used to remove small paper jams.
