CityFest: City Fest is the name of a Grand Rapids area outreach that will culminate in a Festival on September 8 - 9 featuring evangelist Luis Pulau. River Rock has been in conversation with the CityFest folks about what they are looking for and how our congregation might participate. As opportunities arise to get involved with this event, we will be sharing them with you! To explore what CityFest is about, check out the website: www.cityfestwestmichigan.org. !L’Ardada Christian Camp: Could the Lord be calling you to spend part of your summer in beautiful Spain at a Christian camp? L’Arcada (which means shelter) in Gerona is looking for young people and older folks who hear the Lord’s call, to help out in a number of ways, so that Spanish young people can find the Lord through camp ministry. If you speak Spanish, so much the better, and you’ll improve your knowledge of the language immensely. But even non Spanish speakers can help. Any questions, call RRC members Wayne and Brigitte Nelson at 883-6111; they are friends with the camp directors, or contact the camp directly at [email protected].

Middle School Ministry Director Position: Bobby Moore, River Rock’s Student Ministry Director, will be attending Calvin Theological Seminary this fall. We are excited about this because we see that God is raising up another leader for His church in Bobby and we want to support his development as a leader. However, it means that Bobby would go from full-time to part-time beginning at summer’s end. In his part-time role, Bobby will be with the High School and Young Adults. This means that, next year, Bobby will not be available to lead the Middle School ministry. Therefore, River Rock is hoping to hire a part-time Middle School Ministry Director. If you would like to apply or know of someone who would like to apply, please visit our website for a for a full job description at riverrockcommunity.com. Click the Contact link then Employment.
