Canon EOS 1100DI will be using the Canon EOS 1100D to shoot my film. This is due to a number of reasons. Firstly, it is very easy to use and has the digital capability to record in High Definition which will be incredibly useful as it will allow my film to look more professional which in turn will add to the overall effectiveness of the opening scene. Secondly, not only are they portable but there are also many available to use, so this will add to the flexibility of my production schedule as I will be able to film outside of school

16GB SD CardI will be using a SanDisk 16GB SD Card to film and subsequently store all my footage on. The reason I have chosen an 16GB as opposed to the regular 8GB is so that I can maximize the amount of storage space I have, so that I will not need to worry about the clips filling up the SD Card too quickly, as each individual clip takes up a lot of storage due to the High Definition quality that the Canon records in.

Tripod

For the majority of my shots I will be using a tripod to ensure that my footage is stabilized which I believe will make the opening scene look much more professional. Furthermore, I am trying to avoid the stereotypical shaky effect that one would expect to see in average horror films as it makes the footage look a lot more amateur. While this can be undoubtedly be effective with some horrors, (e.g. the Blair Witch Project, Paranormal Activity), it will simply not fit in with the intended look of the opening sequence that I am going for.
