The Equilibrio system is the distillation of an intensive five year study at the Utrecht School ofthe Arts in the Netherlands. The research project, involving a team of students and teachersat the conservatory, led to this design by Servaas Franssen. Four chin rests of varying heightsand contours, each with accompanying corks for raising or slanting the chin rests, providemore than sixteen different chin rest options.

The Equilibrio chin rest series provides a large number of choices for individual musicians of allsizes and builds, reflecting the true range of players in the profession. Equilibrio chin rests canbe purchased individually, or as an entire series, especially handy for violin and viola teachers.

Special design features improve both stability andmobility, providing the support necessary for the instru-ment while leaving the musician free to move and play.The contour is adjusted at each height to allow for thebest placement of the instrument for bowing and fin-gering, whatever the size of the player.
